IMO Harris was the right choice for Biden's 2020 running mate. No other candidate had the name recognition and relatively low-scandal b/g. There were far too many primary candidates. Mostly tire kickers. I predicted he'd choose her.

It's super easy at this point for people to knock Harris, Biden or both. I see it as just noise. This time last year the US had two intensely crucial fights on its hands: The pandemic, and keeping the Republic.

FDR did a ton of things in office dealing with the Great Depression then WWII. Many of those things were deeply unpopular. But he kept going. Then Truman carried on doing what needed to be done.

I shudder to think how many more American lives would have been lost in the pandemic if Biden-Harris were not in the White House. I think anyone making non-trivial criticisms of the administration has expectations that are way too high. America is facing WWII-level challenges.
The seditious R party leadership and influencers/grifters were always going to hurl a steady stream of unfounded insults against both Biden and Harris. They're both in roles that are damn hard to do at this moment in history. Because of the actions and omissions of those same Rs.
My presidential & vice presidential scorecard differs a lot from the kind of scorecard most seem to be using.

I see no reason to lay the Afghan outcome at the door of Biden-Harris. Not only did TFG deliberately allow hundreds of thousands in the US to die from Covid by actively & repeatedly downplaying it, & treating blue & red states differently, he also destroyed another whole country.
So it would take an awful lot of Trump Afghanistans before I'd start attacking Kamala Harris for not meeting expectations.
She's not trying to be part of an admin that is indifferent to Covid deaths and desperate Afghan translators who literally saved American military lives.

I consider that, viewed in proper perspective, both Biden and Harris are doing an extremely good job. I'm very grateful to them and to everyone who voted them into office.
