The Progressive left have LONG had the right policy plans based on putting people first. The problem has always been how will you pay for it. That question still looms today & sadly many headline activists see winning the people collecting & missing the #MMT education aspect

Like a man who is sitting at a dinner table with his mouth sewn shut, Progressives and leftists as a whole have not been able to save lives with these programs and they screw it up with "pay fors", getting absolutely nothing, and yes, like this pandemic, people die, dead.

And because these incredible programs are never enacted & always have a stupid "pay go" trade off/ "offset", someone gets hurt. In fact, yes, many die very unnecessary deaths.

Power dynamics require the population to wake up and push back. That comes with knowledge. #MMT

So yes... MMT is life changing.

It is absolutely must be the keystone of any meaningful Progressive Agenda.

Even @StephanieKelton said there is NO Progressive agenda without Modern Monetary Theory... None, zip zilch zero.

I have watched livestream after livestream of people theorizing what is happening. Ignoring those who've knowledge in this space only to be shut out of discussions and literally large platforms have ignored this & then clap back that the "system is rigged" & they stop there...

Without an MMT lens & #MMT knowledge, the left, Progressives & anyone seeking a better life for all will be stymied and marginalized until we achieve mass acceptance that the nation creates its own currency and can never go broke. It doesn't "borrow" from banks to fund spending.

And far too often, gate keepers of large platforms become the new misleadership class parroting ignorant takes from reichwing sources. They ignore friends and fellow travelers with specific knowledge and the entire movement suffers from gatekeeping.
