I wrote this article, knowing that it might cause me to be removed -- and announced it publicly without any permission

The core team voted on me being removed, and I resigned.

I'd like to explain why I wrote it:

I wish I could have reached consensus with the rest of the core contributors before posting that, but I wrote that article at 2am, and I reached out to everyone in the core team who happened to be online (only 2 others)

I acted unilaterally because I thought that it was *extremely* important to get that idea out there in time, since we are so limited on time.

The idea itself isn't anything novel, anyone could have had it, and people have been doing it for a long time.

Here's what it is:

Most people who want to contribute don't have a lot of money, but they do have a lot of creativity.

How can we harness their energy and creativity in a way that translates into more funds?

NFTs.

NFTs get a bad rep from many people.

Many core contributors say it's a "brand risk" to associate ourselves with NFTs bc there have been so many scams.

I think NFTs are actually SO huge for us:

Why?

You can channel your creativity AND make money for yourself + @ConstitutionDAO

You can "Split" your NFT such that @ConstitutionDAO gets some portion of the proceeds

Then market your meme in our Discord in the #memes channel.

This will be huge because it aligns incentives -- creators can make money doing this!! And they can make money for @ConstitutionDAO

This messaging has not been run by anyone else at @ConstitutionDAO -- I've been booted until I can explain myself on a call with the rest of the core contributors

I am not speaking for the core contributors, I am speaking as a DAO member.

I think we can meme our way to victory

Another point: I think that we shouldn't be hounding on "trying to get whales" so much (a whale is a very rich crypto person)

At the end of the day -- we are trying to avoid the Constitution going back into the hands of another rich person.

Memes > Whales.

It is important to the ethos of the movement that we aren't pandering to the same people who own the keys of power -- this is a revolution of the people. We can use our creativity to solve things.

More notes on how we win:

- Set up an official #Bitcoin address to donate to
- Set up an official #SOL address to donate to
- Same with other chains.

We can then convert that into ETH in one bulk txn (low gas) -- this is how we win, supporting all chains equally

More notes on transparency and how we can do better: 1. We need to walk through exactly how we set up the juicebox.money with all the exact parameters @me_jango can post this publicly. It's important to share EXACTLY how we set this up.

2. We need to open up the non-sensitive private channels in the discord. Or at the very least have "observer" roles that can confirm the good faith of the core-contributors.

This would be really huge for helping build trust and good will.

3. We need to come up with a *real* proposal for how we are going to be an actual DAO. Not a multisig wallet -- but a real DAO.

We have been swamped so this has taken a back seat, but we need to articulate CLEARLY to the community how the DAO will work.

The best way to do this is by making an Open Source repo and start talking in code about how governance can work and reach consensus on the Solidity Contracts.

This can be done by anyone, just be sure to get everyone on the same page in the #general chat in the Discord

4. We need to have clear mechanisms to allow people who are not core contributors to become one.

I have so much trust in the core team, but I want everyone else to develop that same trust.

It's hard to do without actually being there. We need to let people actually be there.

I think with those 4 proposals + supporting other chains we can really make it. We can ALL make it.
