More engagement does NOT always lead to more followers meaning virality ≠ more followers.

I want to make this clear because I see so many people falling into the "engagement trap"

There's only one way to get new followers and that is to provide this magical...

thing called VALUE.

For the purposes of this thread, value=solving people's problems.

So the next question we must ask is, how do we solve people's problems on Twitter?

2 ways

1) Show them how to solve their problem
2) Show them how WE solved the problem ourselves

The best way to show people how we solve problems is by sharing interesting personal stories.

Specifically, stories about:

> Our biggest challenges and how we overcame them
> Our biggest transformations (HUGE)
..

> Our darkest moments
> Our happiest moments
Etc

Stories are powerful because when someone reads your story, they think

"well if he or she can do this, so can I"

or

"this person went through the exact same sh!t as I did!"

That's the power of stories.

They make you...

relatable, likeable AND knowledgeable.

When you hit all three of these traits? People will follow you in droves.

A great example of this is @Mangan150.

Not only is he extremely knowledgeable about health, but he has an incredible transformation story.

When people read his story, their self-belief increases (value) because they think "well if this old man can get jacked and healthy, so can I!"

"Ok Eddy I got you but how do I tell compelling stories on Twitter?"
