In the 1970’s, a Russian man defected to Canada. He revealed how KGB destroyed enemies.

Not with war. By planting the seeds of self destruction and fostering those ideas into the political milieux to create social collapse, anarchy & animus.

How was that accomplished? Using libertarian ideology. Promoting extreme egotistical hedonism, a society would collapse in chaos, anarchy and violence. Incapable of democratic cooperation & compromise. At that point, annexation occurred. The nation cannot defend itself.

So divided in conflict and chaos, institutional failures and political, economic and social instability, an organized defence can’t be made. And the territory and its assets become easy pickings.

But it is a long game strategy. At minimum 25-30 years commitment.

That man was Yuri Bezmenov. He warned the West of impending danger. His lectures on “How to Subvert a Nation” were a warning that Soviet Russia and its geopolitical ambitions had begun the process of subversive destruction of Western Democracy.

Totalitarian Communists have been subverting Western democracy since its establishment in Russia in 1918.

Many consider Bezmenov a conspiracy theorist; mentally unstable. Or a KGB agent who was engaging in subversion. All are probably true. But was he lying or here to instruct?

The US military has used intense analysis of far LEFT political warfare to document a ceaseless effort to subvert capitalism & social democracies. Communist political warfare has been ongoing since before the Russian revolution of 1917.

Speculation about Bezmenov’s true allegiances are made through analysis of his lectures.

They appear to be the current playbook used by the far right and by left libertarian anarchists to undermine democracy and obstruct progressive policy; to create destabilization and crisis.

This format is the basic formula to install left or right totalitarian authoritarianism.

The Finkelstein Method is a strategy used by the far right for election campaigns to secure a far right victory. I’ve written about it before. More than once.

Little did we know that the Far Right were contemporaneously employing these tactics to undermine social democracy in favour of far right authoritarianism and extremist fascistic ideology.

It’s obvious now; societies are destroyed by extreme left & right working together.

Anarchists & Communists have been undermining social democracy for over a century.

Far Right Libertarians borrowed left libertarian tactics & rhetoric, added extreme evangelical faith, & now use this strategy to undermine social democracy.

It’s coming from both sides.

Moderation, truth, cooperation & compromise are keys to any successful democratic governance model. A balance between individual and collective needs, as well as a balance between governing authority and personal/individual freedom and responsibility are required in a democracy.

If you look at Canada, we are long past demoralization.

Harper CPC destabilized institutions and permitted foreign influence over their 10 years in office.

The past 6 years has been demoralizing scandal after scandal to destabilize the LPC and the nation.

Since Jan 2020 it’s been multiple crises: Climate change, Covid & economic precariousness, China’s economic sharp diplomacy, Wetʼsuwetʼen rail blocks & the Iran missile incident, multiple domestic constitutional challenges.

The left uses values, right uses economics & courts.

Seems social democracy and its institutions are more resilient than anyone thought.

As Bezmenov describes in his lecture, there are one of two crisis outcomes on this trajectory.

Civil war or invasion by a foreign adversary.

What can reverse this chaos & multi-pronged attack?

Precisely what LPC and PMJT have been doing. Responding to the needs of the public as each crisis arises.

PMJT used diplomacy to diffuse the Iran Canada tensions and displayed empathy and compassion for victims.

Held off interfering in rail blocks & helped negotiate its end.

Ensured every displaced worker could access funds to eat and shelter in place.

Assisted businesses with financial support to make it through shutdowns.

Secured vaccines for every Canadian.

Provided extra funds for provinces.

Sent in the Armed Forces as requested.

Dealt with a deranged president in the US.

Managed Huawei situation by building quiet diplomatic support.

Yes he’s slipped a few times. But Canada has avoided a far right take over because LPC continues to meet public needs.

Biden is attempting the same strategy in the US.

When subversion reaches the normalization stage, there is only one way to remove the threat to the nation; military action.

Bezmenov was a KGB trained agent. He was honest about the normalization stage. In all likelihood, he was also instructing buried Soviet moles and assets.

The Soviet Union used subversion to annex most of Eastern Europe and much of Asia.

Soviets also used subversion to advance their interests & control in Latin America.

Far left subversives (anarchists) have used this strategy & these tactics to destabilize geopolitics before.

If you review geopolitical conflict from 1917 to present, this strategy has been used frequently.

Pit radical left and right against the moderate centre left and centre right. Demoralize, destabilize & create crisis. When institutions fail, then move in to control assets.

At that point, radical left can be purged. They’re no longer needed.

Nazis used this exact strategy to install Hitler as a totalitarian dictator. Then purged the radical left.

The same method was used in post WW2 Middle East to install loyalist puppet leaders & purge the left.

Chile 1973. Iraq 1991, Afghanistan 2002. Iraq 2003.

There’s a never ending list of US interference in foreign nations subsequently ending in the installation of puppet or loyalist despots in response to democracy, libertarian radicals & insurrection.

The strategy can be controlled by the extremist left or far right. The subversion of a nation and democracy isn’t tied to any particular ideology. It’s a set of ACTIVE MEASURES used to remove legitimate authority and replace the governance system with autocracy.

And it works.
