1. So the farm laws have been repealed and predictably, the reactions to it have become the test of fidelity/loyalty/fealty to the dispensation. Even legitimate expressions of disappointment lead to the same done to the death question- so will you vote for the opposition?!
2.If d constituents of a dispensation do not express their disappointment, who will? Not every expression of disappointment is a litmus test of ideological allegiance. In any case, apart frm ideological leanings,d reality of this country today is d absence of a credible alternative.
3. Precisely becoz there is no credible alternative to the current dispensation at the Centre, the constituents themselves have a duty to criticise where criticism is warranted, just as credit has been given where it is due. After all, what is the value of a shill's opinion?
4. Just as it is unreasonable & pathetic to criticise everything d Govt does out of sheer bile for d people who helm it,surely it is fair to say that it is equally irresponsible to assume that nothing d Govt does ever warrants even legitimate criticism from its own support base.
5. Ironically,I don't think d dispensation is averse to criticism from any quarter & rightly so.I think it is a cross-section of d support base which constantly feels d need to burnish & flash its loyalty & subject others to a fealty test. In d process, they do more harm than gud.
6. To those who speak of NOTA as an option,I disagree.Notwithstanding my reservations on d Govt's performance on certain fronts,I genuinely believe that NOTA is not only not an option,it is positively deadly for d country's future now that d Opposition has shown its true colours.
7. So please do not reduce every issue & reaction to a mischievous & malicious speculation on electoral choices. The larger issue is d resolve of d Bharatiya State under this Govt to see thru d reforms it has embarked on, given that it still enjoys a massive mandate from the ppl.
8. The other critical issue is the message the repealment of farm laws sends to Breaking India forces which have surely realised that it pays to hit the streets. The policy of testing the Govt's will, which started with Shaheen Bagh, was normalised during the farm protests.
9. The normalisation of d Khalistani sentiment during d course of d farm protests & d weak response of d Indian State surely is a matter of concern. With these real issues at stake, this goes much beyond proving allegiance to a dispensation. That this needs pointing out is sad.
10. That the Indian State even under this Govt still pays more heed to stone pelters and law breakers, as opposed to the law abiding majority which still vocally supports it, is the unfortunate present reality. I, for one, certainly wish this weren't the case. But it is.
11. To those who still demand proof of fealty, well,I've been vocal way before 2014 despite being part of d legal fraternity whose default setting is d same as Indian Roads- "Keep Left". And here is d link to a talk delivered on d eve of d 2019 elections -
12.I genuinely hope tht v look past petty issues of allegiance & focus on what d repeal of d farm laws translates to in d larger scheme of things.Wat does it mean for future reforms & policy measures?Wat does it mean for national security?Everything else is a sideshow.Over & Out.
13. To those who contend that terror attacks have gone down since 2014, I agree. That's a fact for which d Govt must be appreciated.Having said that, perhaps we must also open our eyes to the fact that urban warfare is becoming the norm, and therefore terror has taken a new form.

1. Ever since the release of my book #IndiaThatisBharat and its positive reception,a few handles have increased their direct & sly attacks on me, which I think is a back-handed compliment. Their latest tirade rides on the back of my tweets from 2015 on the subject of caste.
2.Apparently I am supposed to b embarrassed that my views on caste have evolved. That my views evolved significantly after I took up d Sabarimala case is something I have myself stated at least on 2 occasions, once in a discussion wid @UnSubtleDesi & again in my recent CH session.
3. Here's d link to my discussion wid @UnSubtleDesi & @pratyasharath held last year during d lockdown where d specific subject was the tug of war between the so-called "trads" & "Raytas". To the trawlers,at 15.33,I specifically discuss my tweets of 2015 -

Took part in a Twitter spaces discussion on State Control of Temples a short while ago.Every time someone from d Left participates in a discussion on this topic,I am absolutely amazed at their factual ignorance & their desperate attempts to couch it in vague inanities. Terrible.
All they resort to are the same old done to death tropes about caste and demonising community stakeholdership without an iota of knowledge of the legal framework as it stands or the Constitutional position or the visible degradation of the Temple ecosystem under State control.
When confronted with facts, "Arre what's the point of discussing minutiae!", chalo let's discuss the legal framework "Arre too technical!", OK how about the Constitution "arre this issue goes beyond the Constitution!". Lol. Had it not been a serious issue this was funny as hell.

When the plight of Bengali Hindus doesn't get a fraction of the traction in Bharat than that of Afghan Muslims, well, you know where you stand as a community. Nowhere.
Here's a fact for those asking us to not look at d situation in Afghanistan thru a communal lens- Existing Afghan refugees in Bharat did not speak up (& still haven't spoken up) for d plight of Hindu & Sikh Afghans until their brethren from the Ummah were targeted by the Taliban.
Clearly, notwithstanding d vague platitudes about universal brotherhood, wen d chips r down ur community is ur first & foremost safety net. It's time Dharmic communities understood & drilled this deep in their heads.Learn frm d experience of Pak,Afghan/Bangladeshi Hindus & Sikhs.

Bharat is not a Dharamshala. The priority must be to save Indic communities. It has to & must look out for itself first. It can't endanger its already precarious demographic balance to please the gallery & win empty humanitarian accolades. It can provide material aid & that's all.
Here's is an interesting exchange from Shri Chandraprakash Dwivedi's Chanakya on accommodating refugees citing "athithi devo bhava" because the problem is they won't be merely athithis for long -
Americans & Pakistanis have created this mess in Afghanistan. It is for them to clean it up,not Bharat.Demographic inversion is already a reality in several parts of Bharat & the Indian State shudnt worsen this situation. Only Indic communities are an exception to this position.
