About two miles above Rampur, situated along the Baramula-Uri road on the bank of the Vitasta, is often described as the specimen of Kashmiri architecture.
Although unlike most Kashmiri temples which are made of limestone, this one is made of granite.
Datta Mandir 🚩
It Was Built By The Pandavas In Uri
during their exile.
The stones used to build this temple was carried by Bheema all the way from the nearby mountains. This temple is situated on the banks of Vitasta River (Jhelum River) and dedicated to Vishnu ji.
It is one of the oldest mandir where an ancient linga is the placed since a long time.
It is made in Southern Dravidian style architecture & is made of pyramids.
On the 1st pyramid, there is image of Ganesh ji while on 2nd pyramid there is a sculpture of Shesh Naag.

In the mandir there is a water tank called 'Jal Kund' which is considered as pious as the holy river Ganga.
The water of this tank is said to have some medicinal qualities that can treat skin diseases.
There is a cave inside it where Swami Krishnananda Paramhans Ji resided.
