THREAD, PLEASE SHARE: This is my awesome friend Shanta Barton-Stubbs with some of the kids at the @NewImageYouth youth center she founded to help kids in the Parramore neighborhood of our hometown of #Orlando. /1
I first became aware of Shanta's great work with NIYC in 2018, when Orlando was facing an (unusual for us) freezing cold spell, and she was organizing a coat drive for the children. I wrote about it for @TheCapitolist. /2 thecapitolist.com/with-freezing-…
I've been using my Amazon affiliate money to send a few Amazon brand zip up fleece coats to the kids each year. The coats are a soft warm fleece, they hold up well, and are machine washable. They're cute and cozy. /3
They range in price from about $15 for boys and girls sizes to $29 for the adult sizes (some of the kids are high schoolers & need adult size coats). I've put together an Amazon list here with the sizes needed and NIYC's address already entered in. /4 amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls…

Pushaw accuses Farrington of spreading “BlueAnon” “conspiracy theories.” But the article doesn’t actually quote or reference any of the many, many Democrats we all know would be perfectly happy to slam DeSantis. He also didn’t discourage Regeneron use. /2

As I wrote four year ago and I say again today, I would have LOVED to have been wrong about Trump. It would’ve been great if he had stumbled with Forrest Gump-like luck into greatness. Instead, he was worse than I expected, and bad in ways I could never have anticipated. 1/6
I broke down into tears several times on January 6 while watching the horrifying news coverage. It was my least favorite day of writing ever (and I’ve experienced the singular horror of briefly working for one of the people on Trump’s pardon list). 2/6
There is no joy in “I told you so” when it comes to being #NeverTrump today. Every flaw and weakness of his that I predicted, and every one I didn’t, has had profoundly dangerous and tragic consequences for our country. 3/6

the only positive thing about @jasonmillerindc being on TV is watching @AnaCabrera verbally disembowel him. The Tasmanian Devil is going to sue Miller for trademark infringement the way he spins and spins and spins.

how about you start with not plagiarizing my articles? that would be cool. Your site says you're "not a journalist" but that's no defense. Tell your writers they can't just copy the entire text and change a few words and claim it as yours.

A woman who is shot while sleeping because the cops claimed her drug dealing ex-boyfriend she broke up with 2 years ago might have received packages at her apartment (claims the post office did NOT support) isn't "resisting arrest," you hateful clown.
you can understand how people are angry when the cops *created* the dangerous situation by busting into an apt. in the middle of the night & Breonna Taylor's boyfriend understandably feared they were intruders and tried to defend their home.
I'm NOT pro-drug legalization but don't see the justification for these aggressive, late-night, no-knock warrants for drug crimes. All this danger and risk to preserve evidence? Not worth it.

To clarify since people keep asking me, I really am on a short vacation out of town. Had nothing to do with this story. I had heard some people refer to Streiff as “Bill” but didn’t know if that was his real first name or not.
Had also heard he worked for some fed agency but didn’t know which one. Never crossed my mind to spend the time trying to find out — but I would’ve never guessed he worked for same agency as Fauci! That was the only really surprising thing about Lachlan’s story. Not the content.
