BREAKING: Armed men dressed as security guards claiming to be with the Trump campaign showed up today at the downtown St. Pete early voting location today, according to @VotePinellas Supervisor of Elections Julie Marcus.

@WFLA #BattlegroundFlorida…
"The sheriff told me the persons who were dressed in these security uniforms had indicated to sheriff's deputies that they belonged to a licensed security company and they indicated, and this has not been confirmed yet, that they were hired by the Trump campaign," Marcus said.
Marcus, a Republican, is running to keep her seat after being appointed by Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis in May when longtime supervisor Deborah Clarke retired.

Pinellas Co. Sheriff Bob Gualtieri, also a Republican, is running for re-election as well.

excellent coverage as usual from @fineout & @Mdixon55 -- noteworthy that neither Biden nor Sanders really campaigned in FL or spent $ (Bloomberg spent way more) but Biden swept all major D endorsements…
added quote from @nikkifried now...FL Democrats very clear in their preference for @JoeBiden…

.@AARPFL advocacy staff and volunteer leaders from across the state had the opportunity to share their stories of the high cost of #RxDrugs with @GovRonDeSantis @HHSGov @SecAzar and @HHS_ASH this morning : 1/ #StopRxGreed #FlaPol #Sayfie ImageImage
We applaud Gov. DeSantis, Sec. Azar & the administration in ensuring that states will have the opportunity to import safe, FDA-approved prescription drugs from Canada. We're pleased to see signs that direct savings for consumers could also be coming: 2/
.@AARPFL State Director Jeff Johnson on today's FDA rule news: “This is a big step in the right direction toward lower prescription drug prices in Florida. We’re not there yet, but this will help.” 3/3

Once upon a time, there was a new governor. He appointed co-managing directors of a Tea-Party-sponsored political group @flca4liberty to his education transition team. Appropriate to have multiple voices represented on a committee, yes, but this group wants full control. /1
.@flca4liberty doesn't consult w/ #Florida parents. It decides for us. Its last email blast asks "Is Your School Duping You Into Buying Porn for Your Child?" (@keithflaugh & Pastor Rick, your photo expresses exactly how parents feel when we read a subject heading like this.) /2
The @flca4liberty directors explain why this matters. "... is back in session, & soon the FL Legislature will be back in session, too! So much is at stake...We need to strengthen Florida's statutes to legally protect our children from harmful pornographic materials." Porn? /3

Over the next few days & weeks we will be coordinating with @GovRonDeSantis to secure prompt federal reimbursements to #Florida counties for storm-related costs. But we face some hurdles regarding #HurricaneDorian 1/3 #Sayfie #FlaPol
.@fema “Category B Reimbursement” is for pre-storm “Emergency Protective Measures” but are generally limited to direct federal assistance provided if @FLSERT is unable to meet a counties needs. It does not appear any direct federal assistance will occur with this storm. 2/3
I am concerned (as is Governor)that in future counties may be reluctant to undertake pre-storm protective measures if costs will not be reimbursed. Especially since many of these counties are still waiting for reimbursements from 2016 & 2017 storms.

It’s official, FL bill HB 631 is now a law and could affect a beach near you even if you don’t live in Florida. Walton County residents were out in droves yesterday (July 1st) to protest this new law, signed by Governor Rick Scott last month.…
This new #Florida law invalidates local municipalities' #customaryuse ordinances and effectively locks the general public out of using the best parts of Florida’s beaches—unless they can afford to rent (or buy) beachfront property. Lawsuits are pending. #standyoursand
🚫HB 631 bans local municipalities from adopting ordinances to regulate public access to Florida’s beaches above the mean water line.

⁉️But first, where’s the mean water line?

💥In short, it's where everyone wants to sit when they're at the beach.…

Dear #Miami Democrats

The movement to #AbolishICE - which #FL27 candidate @matthaggman supports - isn't just a symbolic maneuver and @Ocasio2018's victory on that platform isn't just a "mood."

ICE's most important agents agree.

"It says a lot about the mood in that district," former Health and Human Services secretary @DonnaShalala, a Clintonite

This is exactly what #Republican-lite looks like in #FL27

Obedience to the status quo…
#Miami voters don't need someone whose entire policy agenda is an unreasoning mood.

They need someone who will look under the hood of any problem and understand why it causes so much emotion.

And address it.

Trump broke ICE.

19 Top ICE Agents agree.
