What are the gaps in data collection in Lebanon?

refugee data is difficult to collect leading to exclusion:

- many Syrian refugees are hesitant to give their biometric data considering that their sensitive information might get accessed by other governments

- the gov has tried to access information on refugee beneficiaries post the august 4 port explosion

- re-verification and updating biometric data has been difficult due to lack of resources to complete the process

- many Syrian refugees have been excluded from social assistance due to a gov decision to stop the registration process of refugees in 2015

- without sufficient data collection systems, there cannot be reliable data analysis and efficient action
