GM! Please let me introduce you to my latest coding achievement and on-chain #cryptoart work. "Gazers" will begin its reveal on Monday, December 6th at 12pm CT on @ArtBlocks. (1/8)

Gazers is a collection of generative moon phase calendar NFTs seeking to create community around our love of color theory, generative art, astronomy, and crypto.(2/8)
Every lunar cycle lasts ~29.53 days. Each New Moon, a new moon design is generated from your NFT. Your transaction hash creates color theory and design rules that set forth every moon that will be created into infinity. (3/8)
In Gazers, we invest in time and experience. Each NFT is designed to continually increase it's potential animation speed fractionally over time. Stacking these investments, we create a generational evolution of experience. The present collects what the future appreciates.(4/8)
At midnight, each layer of an NFT receives new instructions on how to behave the next day. The result is subtle changes in how we experience color as the artwork rises and sets, echoing the change of light in our skies.(5/8)
The passage of time will unlock additional rendering modes within the artwork. These additional modes of viewing are intended to help a collector better understand the architecture of their artworkβs design and also benefit from greater enjoyment of it.(6/8)
Gazers love celebrating. Things like lunar & solar eclipses. And other things.π Saturday is our first eclipse! Only #0 is minted, so only one will experience the peak this time. Some Gazers celebrate longer than others... let's see what happens over the next week! ππ(7/8)

I'm SO grateful to have worked with @SuperRare in launching the new #Series feature. The Door couldn't have found a more appropriate beginning! A great way to learn more about #TheDoor is with this video: vimeo.com/632154118 (1/7)
For an artist, a series is often about the evolution of ideas - the discovery and experimentation that takes place while investigating conceptual or visual curiosities. Since June, The Door marked my return to an almost undivided focus on my daily artistic practice.(2/7)
FACTS
These are the first NFTs on @SuperRare with attributes/traits. π Click "View Details."
There are 56 Doors to date.
I will mint more Doors.
I will create more Doors.
Not all Doors I create will be minted.
I've never minted an edition.
I've only ever minted the best.

As an artist who works with code, it's important to reference at least some software and libraries that I use. Personally, I don't want to get carried away into processor speeds, but some high level context of my development environment is in order. Let's use metadata! (2/9)
@intellijidea is my preferred IDE for @Java development. I utilize an older version of @ProcessingOrg with the help of @lager_p's G4P GUI tools. Acknowledgement in the metadata of an #NFT feels appropriate for a whole host of circumstances any artist runs into. (3/9)
(1/10) "Meules after Claude Monet" is a multitude of expanding experiences.βΎ Let's break down what is actually archived as part of the #NFT being auctioned as part of #NativelyDigital at @Sothebys. My NFT Portal website is where to π for supreme quality: collect.mattkane.com/minted-works/mβ¦
(2/10) @nameless_nft created a custom contract solution for me. I explained that I don't tokenize a singular JPEG or GIF. I tokenize artwork. A singular artwork might require an archive of files that aids a viewer's experience, help provide context, include a press kit, etc.
(3/10) @nameless_nft provided the solution of creating archives for relevant files on both Arweave & IPFS. These are referenced in the metadata. While the Arweave link is a JSON format, IPFS also has a human readable.
IPFS: ipfs.io/ipfs/QmVnu7JQVβ¦
Arweave:arweave.net/tx/I3xtFX1hMe3β¦
I'll be breaking down the NFT #cryptoart being auctioned on @Sothebys this next week. @nameless_nft helped me with a custom contract solution for my specific needs. This detail of the closest haystack is archived as part of the NFT on both IPFS & Arweave. #NativelyDigital (1/3)
And this detail of the previous detail is also archived on both IPFS and Arweave. It just hits different...π #cryptoart#nativelydigital (2/3)
And why don't we get a little closer? It's important that all these experiences are archived in order for the future to understand my NFTs are not singular JPEGs or GIFs. The artwork I tokenize is a multitude of expanding experiences. βΎ (3/3) #cryptoart#nativelydigital
Begin on the ground floor: the exterior walls are lined by the master copy #digitalart I created after studying #Monet in early 2019. Across the hallway, they gaze into their inspirational counterparts, the original Monet paintings housed at @artinstitutechi.
Then, we travel up the staircase & enter into The Great Hall of Layers. Step inside the #dimensionalpainting of "Meules after Claude #Monet" for a truly unique experience. Imagine with me how this VR experience will scale seamlessly into the future along with the growth of tech.
1.After gifting some @VolatilityArt NFTs, I began selling VLY tokens last week, starting at 0.21 ETH. Why so low? This project is an artwork centered on value and volatility. The artist applies their own values as a measure of value. Price becomes a medium of artistic expression.
2. Bitcoin required a market to be built from zero. So did #cryptoart and #nfts. I began with gifts, then asked some collectors who already participated in building my NFT market to come join this project & do the same. This mirrors #BTC & cryptoart market building.π§‘π
3. I value my early collectors who also reached out with relational human interactions. I value art collectors who care to learn about an artist, their work, and collect because Art. I value #connection, not just transaction. So let's apply #values to an artwork about value.π€
