"Get Back" was okay, I really wish they had interviewed some of today's top artists for the film. Would have liked to see Dave Grohl say that there wouldn't have been Nirvana or the Foo Fighters without the Beatles, to put the band in historical context
"There were four guys. John, Paul, George and - you know where I'm going with this - Ringo."
"Ringo, man, he was like a drum machine, you gotta remember this was -before- the invention of the drum machine"
"They called George 'the quiet one' of the group, but when he spoke, everyone listened. Well, except John"
"When 'Come Together' starts and you just hear that guitar go 'shunk shunk doo-doo-DOO, doo', you just know man, this is The Beatles right here"
"Helter Skelter, man, that's like the original punk song. Would we have punk rock without The Beatles? I dunno man, I can't answer that question. I don't WANT to answer that question"
"The first time I ever heard em, I must have been about 15, and 'I Wanna Hold Your Hand' comes on the radio and I pulled over to a payphone and called my girlfriend, didn't even wait for her to pick up, I was like 'have you ever heard of this band The Beatles?'"
"I guess enough time's past I can admit it, right? The Beatles were a huge influence on Oasis. Huge. Those mellotrons on 'Morning Glory'? We nicked that from the Lads"
"Without John Lennon and Paul McCartney, there would be no Elton John and Bernie Taupin. That's the honest truth"
"The rock and roll drummer, as we know it, as we understand it, would not exist without Ringo Starr."
"We played a little rooftop concert of our own, ya know. Got into a little trouble with the law ourselves. I guess you could say it was kind of our tribute to the Lads"
"I gotta be honest with you, it took me a while to get into their early records"
(plays the end of Eleanor Rigby) "This was something you never heard in the popular music of the time"
"I remember thinking to myself, Pharrell, don't screw this up, you're performing one of Paul McCartney's songs...in FRONT OF Paul McCartney!"
"Actually one of the songs in Hamilton was inspired by the Beatles breaking up"
“The whole country was absolutely mad for these four lads from Liverpool. They even had a word for it - they called it Beatlemania!”
"When you're in a band, you're gonna find yourself in conflict with your bandmates. That's just a fact, whether you are some high school punk band or the biggest act in music. And the Beatles WERE LITERALLY the biggest act in music! I mean, you can't imagine it"

Start writing those concession speeches now, I say
People voted for Biden to stop Trump and because they were told a Democrat president would reverse the bad things Trump did. Since they haven't, they are going to have a tough time convincing a majority of voters that they will suddenly change course in 2024
A Harris/Buttigieg ticket would be a nightmare because all the deranged K-Hive/Mayo Pete stans would alienate the entire left flank of the Democratic party

Folks, the Sopranos are back. Tony, Carmela, Uncle Richie, Junior and the rest of the gang are together again. Well, sort of. In this fall’s “The Many Saints Of Newark” we meet America’s favourite crime family back when they were teens.
When that screen cut to black at the end of the final season of “Sopranos” we thought we saw the last of Tony and the gang. And so too frankly did David Chase, the creator of the show. But lucky for us, a few years later Chase found one more Soprano story to tell. The early days
Everyone loves a good prequel. In 1999 George Lucas gave fans “Star Wars Episode 1 - the Phantom Menace” which introduced us to young Darth Vader and some other old (and new) friends. Over in this galaxy, “Newark” might give us a similar glimpse of the teenaged Tony Soprano

WandaVision... this is definitely a show for people who like their entertainment a little on the WEIRD side
One way I can describe it - think of "I Love Lucy" or "Ozzie & Harriet" but with a Marvel twist
It feels like your basic fifties sitcom but there is something a little weird going on under the surface

This summer there will be the name of a particular ghost on everyone’s lips. His name? Muncher. He’s just one of the many spooky creatures you can expect to run into in the multiplex in the long-awaited followup to 1989’s smash hit “Ghostbusters II”, “Ghostbusters: Afterlife” Image
A lot has changed in the world since “Ghostbusters II” was released 32 years ago. The end of the Soviet Union, the death of “The People’s Princess” Lady Di, and the tragic events of 9/11. How will Slimer, Muncher etc be able to cope with this whole new world? Well, we’ll have to
The elephant in the room of course is how “Ghostbusters: Afterlife” director Jason Reitman (the son of “Ghostbusters II” director Ivan) will account for the absence of actor Harold Ramos, one of the original stars of “Ghostbusters II” who sadly passed away a few years ago. What w

If you’ve seen THE NIGHT OF THE HUNTER you know why the GOP are turning on Trump now. They are the simple townsfolk who fell for his mesmerizing Preacherman schtick: now that he is obviously A Bad Man they are chasing after him with pitchforks & torches to cover up being fooled
I am half-kidding but also half not-kidding
I think that the ending of NIGHT OF THE HUNTER, Lillian Gish’s final scene with the children, just gets more and more powerful and profound with time
