π¨π³ 34 y.o. Dr. Li Wenliang, Ophthalmologist at Wuhan Central Hospital in #China was one of the first #SoulsLostToCovid. He was punished for warning colleagues about the new coronavirus before it became a pandemic. He passed away February 7, 2020.
Dr. Wenliang had messaged his fellow doctors via WeChat on Dec. 30 to warn of a SARS-like disease that patients from a seafood and live-animal market in Wuhan had tested positive for.
A screenshot of his message went viral, and police called him in soon thereafter.
Dr. Wenliang's death highlighted the impact of COVID-19 on health workers in China. On Feb 14, 2020, the Chinese Government announced 1716 health workers in China have COVID-19 and six have died.

Mike and Erica DeCelle, as well as their daughters Kylie and Mikayla, all tested positive for the virus last week.

McDaniel said he tried to beat covid at home, but his slight headaches got worse, and then he started to experience shortness of breath.
