One possible explanation of the co-existence of SARS and H1N1 sequences in the patients is that the artificially constructed recombinant SARSr-CoV caused a co-infection outside the laboratory during 2007 - 2012, but did not result in the SARS-CoV epidemic
Alternative hypothesis is contamination of samples in the lab since Pasteur Institute also conducted SARS-CoV studies.
Samples from different flu seasons have different strains of SARS-CoV & divergence between these SARS-CoV strains cannot be explained by natural evolution.
