Dedicating to @thedivinetales & others tagged who inspired me to write on Brahmcharya. Will cover in 4 parts
1.Why it is important 2. How one loses Brahmcharya
3.Ayurvedic Understanding
4.Tantric Practices to conserve semen (Must read- mentioned in detail) 1/n
Brahmacharya is taken from two words: Brahma, (from brahman), the absolute, eternal, supreme God- and charya, which means "to follow"
Importance:
a)When u indulge in sexual intercourse you loose millions of live sperms- As per Law of Karma you may be reborn as a sperm 2/n
b)Any attachment is a deterrent in spiritual awakening
c)Leads to increase in Vata & weakened Nerves
d)Loss of Agni or Ojas (Aura)
e)Disturbs the Aakash Mahabhoot which irritates the Devas and weakens the Sadhana 3/n
How one loses Brahmcharya
As Per Yagyavalakya Smriti, smarana (Thinking), kirtan (talking) , keli(play), prekshana ( look), Guhyabhasana( talking in lonely place), sankalpa(prepare for coitus), adhyavasaya(to attempt), kriya (coitus) these eight are considered as maithuna 4/n
As per Ayurveda Nidra (Sleep), Aahar (Food) and Brahmcharya are the three Upstambhas of Good Health. By Brahmacharya, it means to have regulated intercourse rather than avoidance. Brahmcharya means monogamy and is driven towards healthy progeny and not only recreation. 5/n
Tantric Practices to conserve semen:
We are getting energy (Prana) from environment all the time which enters our Adhipati Marma (Pic) and goes into Sushumna (spinal cord) and then other Nadis. This Prana gets converted into Apana Vayu which we shed off in the form of Semen.6/n
If we can reverse the direction of Apan Vayu we will not loose even a single drop of semen. Hatha Yog comes from 2 words-
ह means Prana and ठ means Apana. Directing ठ towards ह and combining them is Hatha Yoga
Any sexual activity will lead to loss of Apan Vayu 6/n
Tantra:
How can a common man lead Brahmcharya and have Sexual activity-
2 Kriyas-
Shiv Lata Mudra: A married man can practice celibacy and still fulfill his sexual duty towards his wife. He must worship his wife as the cosmic Shakti and she should worship him like Shiva.7/n
Lata means a creeper (no support) and so Shakti needs to entwine around Shiva (The Tree for support) in this Mudra. Since Shakti has emanated from Shiva, she has to give up her own independent character and make an Absolute surrender to Him. When a Man and wife come together 8/n
for Shiva Lata Mudra, she has to sit over Man’s left thigh and hold his penis with her right hand. He must cup her left breast with his right hand. Then Like a creeper she drapes around him clinging him and performing the act while reciting a specific japa. 9/n
The man thinks he is Shiva in the form of Bahirav and the woman thinks her self as Bhairavi. She breathes from her left nostril while the man breathes from his right nostril balancing the Bhootagni and the Jathragni. The Mudra is supposed to done once a month at the right time10/n
There are three types of Shiva Lata Mudra- Mundane, Spiritual and one which is beyond both. Mundane is mentioned; not writing the other too; the thread will become too long.
Vajroli Kriya: to obtain Amritam (Apana Vayu moves upward to reach Pineal gland- Control of Ajna) 11/n
This is a Yogic/Tantric which first requires internal Shodhana (Cleansing) like Neti, Nauli, Viechan & Gajkarni – Basically cleansing all body orifices and internal organs. Once you are clean, then you start sucking water through your Penis/vagina by placing the organ in water.
After water you practice with milk, then ghee and honey. So, your pubococcygeus muscles become so strong that they do no let even a drop of semen come out. Aghoris also do it with purified Mercury. A Vajroli sidh Purush can suck up the vaginal secretions of a woman and 11/n
take her entire Ojas even reducing her life span by 10 years and the same goes for a Vajroli Siddh woman. So ideally such Purush should only procreate with a Vajroli Siddh Woman where the Apan vayu exchange benefits each other in their siddhi towards being a Shiva & Shakti 12/n
Through this power a man can bring his Apan Vayu till his third eye and create an Anubadh with Pran Vayu. It is like you are taking Prana (energy) from the environment but you are not giving out anything leading to a storehouse of energy within you. 13/n
However the same needs to be done in the presence of a Guru otherwise may cause Kundalini syndrome.

Long Thread, The Real Ramayana: The story of Ramayana is the spiritual progress of every individual soul in the pursuit of Moksha. We all live some aspect of Ramayana in our daily lives @mamatarsingh@DeepaShreeAB@Itishree001@MumukshuSavitri 1/n
The characters
Rama – the indwelling spirit – the soul who is the king of the 72000 nadis.
Lakshman –represent the power of concentration (Lakshya) which helps the soul regain it bride – Sita. He did focus his entire attention on his brother Rama – the individual soul. 2/n
Sita –represents the Kundalini Shakti, the dormant energy located at the Muladhara Chakra. It is the dormancy of this energy that helps us identify with the body which we call the ego.
Dasharatha – ‘Ten Chariots’ meaning the ten senses. 3/n
Navratri Diet as per Ayurveda: The first mention of Navratri is in Markandeya Purana, which propagates Durga worship during the 9 nights. Navratris arrive at the time of Ritu Sandhi (Seasonal change). Like the earth is moving from a summer to a winter equinox,
our body also goes into a change to adapt to this seasonal variation and becomes vulnerable to disease.A good diet is important to boost our immunity. So the ancient Indians ushered in the new seasons with a diet that would help them cope with the change. 2/n
The whole structure of the Navratri fast is like a good detox programme. Fasting during this season helps in increasing Jathragni (Digestive fire) & Dhatvagni (Metabolic fire) which burns up all the toxins accumulated in the last six months and prepares a brand new Sharira.3/n
Homa/ Yagna Vidhi- When a man becomes Agnihotri, a fire worshipper in true sense, no one is allowed to sit with him in a Homa/Yagya except his wife. Before starting the Homa, Mother Earth is saluted first who supports us in executing this divine intervention. 1/n
After you sit down you start with Ganesha stuti followed by creating a Yantra in the pit. Yantra can be of so many types depending upon the Homa but most of them will be based on triangles to contain the divine energies within the enclosure.
Triangles are very imp in life, the human body is so full of triangles, an upward pointed triangle represents man s pubic hair and the downward triangle a female pubic hair; she is responsible for duality (Dvaitvad) by creation while a man is supposed to overcome duality 3/n
@proudlymessedup@Itishree001@LostTemple7 I am aware of this temple in Chamoli district, 7 km walk, but more important is the story attached to it and it is beautiful. Since Narad Muni was meditating at this place for 364 days offering his devotion to Bhagwan Vishnu, the temple stays closed for 364 days and opens 1/n
@proudlymessedup@Itishree001@LostTemple7 Only on Rakshabahndhan. But why does it open only on rakshabandhan. Raj Bali had requested Vishnu to be his Dvarpal when he was the king of Patala Loka. Since Vishnu stayed there for quite a long time, Lakshmi was worried and she requested Narad Muni to help her. 2/n
@proudlymessedup@Itishree001@LostTemple7 So Narad muni advised her to go to patal loka and tie a rakshasutra on Bali s wrist and request him to release Vishnu from this promise. But since Lakshmi was unaware of the way to Patala loka she asked Narad Muni to accompany her. So Narad muni had to leave his meditation 3/n
Advaitam Ayurveda
1.The overlap of two triangles- male & female is the core of Advaitam which says that anything in the world is a part of Brahman 2. In the center of two triangles is the sign of creation which happens when both energies intermingle.
3. At the base of creation is the sign of infinity meaning the energies may mingle in infinite ways to create infinite outcomes, but they will still be a part of super consciousness (Brahman)
4. The three circles outside define the three universal balancing forces which maintain physical balance (Vata-Air; Pitta-Fire & Kapha- Water) as well as Spiritual Balance (Satva- Harmony; Rajas -Passion & Tamas- Ignorance)
Ayurvedic Perspective of Sadya (Onam Platter) Ayurvedic reference from the Ashtavaidya Nambis say- ‘Kaale hithamit bhoji Kruth, Chamkraman kramen vamasaya’ meaning ‘He who eats a balanced food and on time is healthy, The sadhya, therefore, is mostly prepared early morning. 1/n
The adage is: ‘Kaanam Vittu Onam Unnanam’ which means ‘one must have the Onam lunch even if they have to sell everything’. The principles of Ayurveda are applied in choosing the ingredients, the cooking utensils, the eating patterns, and has all elements involved in the sadhya.2/n
Eating the sadhya facing East is based on cosmic energy points, and that is why a sadhya can only be eaten with the right hand. The banana leaf is laid out with its tip pointed to the left and the items are served starting from the top left corner of the leaf signifying 3/n
