I had inspected various slums in #Jayanagar along with Slum Board department officials, #BBMP Engineers and local leaders a few weeks ago to make note of the civic issues residents are facing.

Problems related to asphalting of roads, water leakage and other #BWSSB issues, cracks in house walls, shifting of people living in sheds to houses allocated to them, installation of borewells, street light repair, replacement of sanitary pipelines, etc were brought to my notice.
Met Chairman of #KSDB Sri @kumathalliM and Commissioner Sri B. Venkatesh K.A.S along with Ex-Corporator’s Sri Nagaraj & Sri Diwakar, EE, AEE, AE and other officials to discuss these issues & other problems and to find solutions at the earliest.

Also, insisted the remaining houses to be allocated asap and more houses to be sanctioned as there is a severe demand.

After I called Bangalore Incharge Minister Sri @RAshokaBJP on Sunday and requested for a meeting with private hospitals including a #corporator level meeting because of unavailability of beds, ICUs, ventilators past 20 days.

A meeting was finally held to figure out the process of #Covid treatment with the management of 27 private hospitals of #BangaloreSouth at Pai Convention Hall.
The crucial issues faced on the hospital end were voiced.

I requested the government and private hospitals to coordinate and cooperate properly for the benefit of the people.
I suggested the use of a WhatsApp group in order to keep a track of the availability of beds, ICUs, ventilators, etc.
On the phone calling hospital after hospital. They don’t respond/switched off, if they do they say NO BEDS/with oxygen/ICU. Was finally able to accommodate a critical patient after a lot of requesting. Trying since 9pm. So angry.Pathetic state of our healthcare!
This is the plight of many residents. In these times when jobs are not there, how does the Govt. expect people to pay such high #BESCOM bills? It is practically impossible for these residents to pay such a high price for electricity without any income.
