Rorts thread. There is an infuriating assumption by journalists that when rorts are mentioned the default position is to say "They all do it" Having Analysed $4.3 billion of Grants in 10 Schemes thevogfiles.com/rorts-central.… under the Coalition Since 2013, I have this said to me a lot.
So lets get a few facts right. It is impossible presently to get the historic data of ALP grants programs before 2008 on line. The same is true of Howards government which goes back to 1996. The only way to get that information is for the government to publish it.
Even if they published it, you couldn't compare like with like because the grants rules and guidelines presently published were introduced by finance Minister Lindsay Tanner in the first Rudd Ministry. Before that it was the law of the jungle. HOWEVER in response to the claim
"They all do it." I actually looked at what Schemes the ALP had done whilst in Government. One of them was the Rural Development Assistance fund RDAF) details of which are on the Department of infrastructure Website. I downloaded the data and analysed it. here is the result.
As you can see both from the table and the graph. The value of the fund was $575 million in four Rounds. It was administered under the grants rules and guidelines and so is a suitable scheme to compare with the $4.3 Coalition Schemes.
52.12% going to the ALP electorates is hardly Pork Barelling!
I would also like to comment on the Amount of money that is allocated to Grants. For labor governments that can bee seen under their budget papers. The Same for coalition. But the grants actually awarded under the 2013-2021 Coalition government is far higher than those awarded by
the ALP in their terms of government. Since 2018 for examples the Coalition have awarded 121,275 grants for a value of $73.5 Billion. (data sourced today at GrantConnect)
All of the Analyses of the $4.3 million in 10 Grant schemes that have been analysed are on my website at thevogfiles.com/rorts-central.… All of the spreadsheets are available for download. All of the Methodology of analysis is explained.
@CatherineKingMP Thought you might like to read this "They all do it " thread. Conclusively proves you didn't "do it"
AND after i had done $3 Billion of analysis I aggregated it by party. As you can see it tells a story. (from a powerpoint presentation available on thevogfiles.com in the members area. free to join)

In Jan 2020, I analysed the Sports rorts, then I corresponded with @RonniSalt and @jommy_tee and we collaborated on an Analysis of 3 billion more. @StevejCbr helped with IT (without him just wouldn't have happened) @RebelSolutions helped with a web page and expert design and
published the data (without his generosity and expertise it wouldn't have happened)Then we met @cayteya (another expert Analyst who did the work on Female facilities and Water safety stream and the Commuter car park Schemes). All concerned Australians working to undercover
corruption. Our work shows why we need an Integrity Commission. Please go and view the work here. thevogfiles.com/rorts-central.… Image

I have wanted to express this for the last three days. here goes. I am disgusted at the lack of Integrity and dishonesty of the main Stream media in Australia. Because they have been knobbled by the Coalition generally. This week they have been discussing Labor Branch stacking
Ad infinitum in Victoria. branch Stacking is NOT an offence. It is a manipulation of the Internal labor Party rules. What might be an offence is the fools of MP's who used employees on the Public payrole to do this manipulation. I agree that that needs to be addressed. If those
MP's have committed offenses against State or federal laws, then they should rightly suffer the consequences. The press have been spending an inordinate amount of time discussing this this week. YET they have totally ignopred another outrage perpetrated by the sitting Federal

@latingle I am a real person, not afraid to voice my opinions. I am a Labor member and proud of it. I don't agree with abuse on this platform and try hard not to swear on here. I think social media generally frightens the hell out of Journalists. The technology changes have also changed
@latingle the media marketplace. Gone are the days when the majority got their news from the Media. Now I go to the source such as Government reports, the ABS etc. I have a range of learned skills which enable me to do Analysis for myself. many people on twitter are like me.
@latingle Much newspaper reporting is inaccurate and opinionated and comes from "Sources" which are dubious at best. There are three main Media groups in Australia, Murdoch, channel Nine and the ABC. I discount any media from the first two and much from the Last. Mainly because it's

#RortsCentral. At the risk of sounding anti press, I don't agree with the premis that this was all about marginal seats. I have read the report and looked at the Victorian Seats where the most money was sent. These are those seats
Dunkley is the only one which could be said to be marginal (It fell to Labor) but more because of a redistribution than anything else. In Aston Tudge has a margin of 20270, In Deakin, Sukkar 9307, Kooyong Frydenberg 11289, Menzies, Andrews 14810, Goldstein,Wilson 15480 and
La Trobe,Wood 8863. They had between them 25 Car park schemes allocated. So nothing to do with Marginality. On the other hand I agree with @RonniSalt who thinks that this was a plot hatched in the Prime ministers office by careful evaluation of the best way to win in 2019....

This Sewer rat, who used, many years ago to be a police constable have questions about why the Investigation was closed. Apparently (I say apparently because the press dribble out information in the most desultory fashion and in no order) The Minister's complainant reported her
allegations to police in March 2020. First Question. What information did they write down. Then apparently again they were in touch with her 5 times before she dropped the complaint. Second Question, Where are the recorded notes of those interviews? Third Question, did she give
Police details from her diary? Did she write to them in emails describing the alleged rape? What did the police do? What didn't they do? All police have notebooks. The police Stations have an occurrence book which all visitors to the station are written into. The police who

This year is the 40 year that I have had Serious arthritis. Thankfully at the start of my illness with this very painful disease there was the Labor Government of Hawke and Keating. I was treated well by centrelink when I became too ill to work. in 1996 my life changed and I
became a pariah. I was treated with contempt and like I was some kind of criminal. There was no drug to treat my condition and as well as constant pain that was enhanced and exacerbated by the pain of Liberal government condemnation. You see the liberals don't believe in
disability, they believe in heartlessness and grinding people into the ground. During that time I was audited by centrelink 5 times in 18 months. First they would send me the papers and 3 months later they would sent them to my wife. The last audit was face to face ad when i
