On The Masking Transformation

Masks indicate submission. But they generate power. Those wearing a mask have submitted. Then, they're empowered over those who don't. The Left has found its newest instrument.
2) Due to my work on the Declaration of Independence, I've been doing a huge amount of reading in 18th, and yes even 17th century history. In my readings so far, there is a single key theme that has clarified. Power vs Freedom.
3) Shoot all the way back to Magna Carta and you find the same theme. The King's power was too great, his use of it breaking the Ancient Rights of Free Englishmen. The Barons cowed the King. Think about that. Those Barons were our forefathers too.
4) It's not an easy thought to hold. Some powerful guy opposes an even more powerful guy, and freedom moves forward. Thing is, the rebellious powerful guy is NOT likely to give up any of his power over those below. Stick tight, here.
5) I said, "some powerful guy." Truth is, while that happens all the time, it doesn't matter. It is actually a GROUP, or a COLLECTIVE over powerful guys who oppose the single most powerful guy, and bring him down a notch or two. One guy doesn't get the job done.
6) The very idea of a government, as was established in 17th & 18th century England, is that the group of less powerful guys have greater power than the one most powerful guy at the top. It is an inversion of pack law. In Democracy the pack rules, not the pack leader.
7) In Pack Law - the Law of the Jungle - there can only be one leader, and he must be the strongest of the pack. That was the choice that nature made when creating pack creatures like wolves and humans. Only the strongest may lead.
8) But packs do NOT have government. They only have organization. It is only in Democracy that the many have voice over the few or the one. This aspect of America's great structure of freedom has NOT been understood. In a Democracy, the People replace the King.
9) As our founders were so completely aware, though, the Majority may be an even worse tyrant than a King. That's how our Republic was born. They chose to empower the Majority OVER the King, but they also chose to protect the Minority.
10) @shestokas explained this to me recently in the most amazing way. The rights of the individual define the rights of the smallest minority. Our founding fathers chose to place the most important protection of rights there, with the individual.
11) Let's apply. You have the right to be unvaccinated. You have the right to wear no mask. If you chose, of your own free, individual accord, to take the jab or wear the mask, but of course you may. It's your right. Which means you don't have to, no matter what, also.
12) I won't speak to the science for or against masks, or the vaccines today. I have happily depended on others for such research. I speak merely to rights. Wanna hear a funny thing, Albeit tilted Left, this isn't a bad article on topic:

historyofvaccines.org/content/articl…
13) What the above article calls "political objections," I call rights and freedoms, and the most important rights and freedoms of the individual. And I say again, our entire nation was built on the principle of protecting the rights of the smallest minority.
14) Let's get down to the raw power analysis. I wear a mask. You don't. I have surrendered to the collective. You have not. You are a traitor to the collective and I am its enforcer. Anything I do to you, in service of the collective is more than right, it's my obligation.
15) What's the real purpose of the mask? To steal your face. You are NOT an individual. You are merely a part of the greater whole. You need no face. What you must do, in your worship on the altar of the group, is cover your face.
16) Look. See. There's a traitor to the herd, he has no mask. Let's swarm him. Let's throw him off a roof. He will be an example to all who, like him, are tempted to serve themselves over the herd. He is an example.
17) An example is a means to an end. He is the means to the end of total power and control over the herd itself. When you make a nonconformer into an example, he is no longer a human. He is but an agent of your objective, your rush to total power.
18) Chairman Mao would bow the knee to those who came up with the mask. Every mask-wearing citizen is an instrument of the State. Every mask-resister an opponent of the State. It's positively brilliant and he'd be in awe of his students, his heirs, his heirs in America.
19) That's all for today's meditation. Tomorrow though (I'm promising) we'll pick up with the tie to our 1st Amendment and the the Right of Free Speech. One does not express one's voice only in word, but also in face.
20) Until then, ponder your rights as an individual as to the rights of the pack over you. Our 1776 boys faced the loss of their lives, fortunes, and sacred honor as the price of their dedication to independence. Your path likely holds the same risks.

On The Masking Transformation – Part 2

You're at a modern, COVID-improved retail store with plastic separators everywhere. The employees are all well and good masked up. Have you noticed how muffled their voices are? Contemplate that.
2) Did you know that each employee has the right of free speech, even while working? Of course the company has the free right of firing the employee, and not even for cause. It's just a right. Free hire. Free fire. You're fired. You're hired. Like that. And like...I QUIT!, too.
3) Thing is, what you can't do is give an employee an illegal command and them fire them for not executing your illegal command. Put on your mask. This is NOT a legal command. It is illegal. If the employee is then fired for not doing so...LAW SUIT!

I Lost A Debate This Morning

Wrongly, I accused @Sinnersaint39 of not liking me. This was a cop out, and a BAD move in a debate. It has nothing to do with like or dislike. I was simply wrong.
2) The truth is we just disagree, and she may well be right, I may well be wrong. To lay out the disagreement, here's my question. What does this image mean? Image
3) First, I say, this is MY OWN DAMNED RIGHT FIST. It's mine. I am right handed. If I'm going to fight with you, as in literally fight, it is that fist you will face. Okay. I'm a swordsman. There's a good chance it'll be my sword, not my fist. Or...

The Trick Is: You Don't Deserve The Opportunity

I wish I was better at research. There is a video clip, it has to be out there, and I want it but can't find it. It's from the phenomenal show Yellowstone. Rip is speaking to the boy.
2) None of us deserve the opportunities we're granted. They show up, unannounced and unearned. Then, we either show up or we don't. The only way to "earn" an opportunity is to show up for it after it arrives. You just have to show up. You still don't deserve it.
3) Why don't you deserve your opportunities? Because of all those who came before, who fought and bled and died for all you have available to you. I didn't fight in World War II, did you? What if Hitler hadn't been defeated? What about Hirohito, Mussolini? Did you defeat them?

The Beauty and Wonder of Worship

We're different, here in America. We do not follow the world's lead. We offer the world the leadership it needs.

@KateScopelliti
2) The image above is NOT a worldly image. It is not cynical. It is not sophisticated. There is a famous Democrat attack against fly-over country Republicans, as being smelly Walmart customers. I am a proud, smelly Walmart customer.
3) I know that Walmart itself, as a corporation, is compromised. I know it is a retail outlet for Made In China products. Slowly, I'm learning to look for such products and NOT buy them. But Walmart is bigger than its corporate bigwigs. It is part of true America.

The 21 Ideas That Formed America – Historical Interlude

This series has garnered some warm response, some quite inspiring. For instance, my friend @edmcnevin1 introduced me to St. George Tucker. Incredible!

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Georg…
2) I had never heard of Tucker before, so I've spent good parts of the past two days correcting that gap in my learning. It is what I've found in his work and life story that inspires today's meditation. I begin below with an extended quote...
3) "Whilst we were offering up vows at the shrine of Liberty, and sacrificing hecatombs upon her altars; whilst we swore irreconcilable hostility to her enemies, and hurled defiance in their faces;
