1/ @Sen_JoeManchin, while you are blocking @POTUS's agenda and imperiling #BuildBackBetter, you aren't just betraying West Virginians. Here is how you are hurting people in my state (thread):

2/ More than 55,000 Vermonters have diabetes. That's thousands of people living in fear they won't be able to buy insulin because there is no cost of insulin cap—a transformative piece of #BuildBackBetter.

3/ The average Vermont family with 2 kids pays 28% of their income on childcare. That's MORE than in WV. #BuildBackBetter would cap that at 7%, saving thousands for working families.

4/ Without #BuildBackBetter, seniors and disabled Vermonters lose out on a historic investment in #HCBS funding, meaning they can't live with dignity at home.

5/ 37,000 Vermonters would lose out on an up to $1500 tax cut without #BuildBackBetter's earned income expansion.

For someone who is so concerned with the economy, you're denying people much needed money in their pocket.

6/ #BuildBackBetter makes essential investments in healthcare. @Sen_JoeManchin is trying to keep 4,000 uninsured Vermonters from getting coverage & 6,200 from saving $$$ each year on health care costs.

7/ Our state has had over $1 billion in damages from extreme weather in the last decade. #BuildBackBetter would put us on track to meet some climate targets and tackle climate change. Is @SenJoeManchin just owned by anti-green jobs special interests?

8/ Vermont JUST saw its first confirmed case of #Omicron yesterday. There is #COVID money in #BuildBackBetter, focused on global efforts to end variants just like this. With the pandemic raging, this is a move in the wrong direction.

9/ 1 in 7 Vermont kids are food insecure. #BuildBackBetter ensures 9K get increased free food at school and over 34K get much needed assistance over the summer, so they can stay fed and healthy.

10/ I could go on & on, but suffice it to say @Sen_JoeManchin is hurting Vermont, betraying the President and holding hostage the most important piece of human infrastructure at a time when COVID continues to rage.

West Virginians deserve better. WE deserve better.
