An update on The Bullshit from Brazil.

Pay attention to Brazil: if you’re gonna choose *one* foreign country to go “Oh, they have something that’s exactly like Trumpism there,” Brazil is your best bet by far — right down to evangelicals being the political power base.
“But Origins,” you say, “wouldn’t you expect Brazilian evangelicals to be very distinct from American evangelicals?”

Sure, if you didn’t realize that US-based missionary efforts have basically exported the *whole* model abroad.

Which is not to say there’s NO local changes!
Just that it’s a *very* recognizable phenomenon.
Anyway, TELL me you can’t imagine this kind of communication coming from a Trump cabinet member.

Of course you can! Like I said: pay attention to Brazil.

Liz Harris is the mother of the “canvassing” strategy that’s the last, best hope of Trump Wuz Robbed truthers.

Here she shares a video by Austin Steinbart, “Baby Q” himself, where — inter alia — he claims credit for the self-immolation of a Phoenix businessman (about 32:00 in).
Steinbart claims to be Q from the future (though his followers say that’s oversimplifying).

This is why, at about 30:40 in the video, he explains that the “news media is a big part of why we had to do QAnon this way.”

Again, Harris explicitly says “This video explains it all!”
One thing it PROBABLY explains is how Steinbart —who, at the time, was fresh out of the federal slammer (his whole shtick had basically been “If I’m not Q, how come the FBI doesn’t arrest me when I do all these illegal things?” and reader, you will never guess what the FBI did)—

ATTENTION, DEMOCRATIC PARTY OFFICIALS & FUNCTIONARIES:

The only weapon that consistently works against disinfo is pre-bunking, or inoculation.

Telling people they're going to be lied to, and how, and why, makes them resist the lie.

Use that knowledge for 2022 & '24. Start now.
But don't JUST say Republicans are going to scream fraud if Trump loses.

Say: Republicans are going to scream fraud if Trump loses, and try to certify slates of electors that *ignore the real electoral results.*

Say: this will be an assault on democracy, on YOUR way of life...
and when they try this (and they WILL try it), we have to be ready for mass protests like the ones that brought down the Soviet Bloc in '89.

We have to be ready to fill the streets and shut down ordinary civic life.

Prep people with the knowledge of what the bad guys will say.

Of the roughly 30,000 active juvenile missing persons cases at the end of last year, virtually all will have returned safely home by now.

Only a vanishingly small number of children go missing & stay missing, but Q people want you to THINK vast hordes of kids just vanish. (1/4)
They don’t, and if you want to *prove* they don’t, you shouldn’t just use statistics.

You should ask a follow-up question: do the Q people’s claims describe the actual world that we live in?

The most common number they throw out there is 700K missing kids a year.
I did the math, using population information from the Trump administration, and if there were 700K kids going & *staying* missing every year,

one out of every 25 kids would just vanish before turning 18.

*Do* they?

Everyone would know several pairs of grieving parents. Do we?

“The pdf that’s floating around” is, of course, the coup PowerPoint.

.pps is an ooooold PowerPoint format, and someone we consulted last night suggested that it may not have been saved that way for compatibility on an archaeo-machine — some *printers* need old formats, too.
But it’s pretty unusual to encounter that format in 2021, which could be a clue to whose hands the PowerPoint passed through.

*However*, the pdf version of this file was MUCH more widely distributed than the PowerPoint. (Big ups to @z3dster for also finding the pps, by the way.)
The pdf was out in the wild on January 12, 2021, when it was released on at least the Telegram channels for:

* Lin Wood, an attorney who was heavily involved in trying to overturn the election, and

* Arizona “audit” figure Jovan Hutton Pulitzer.

What does this mean?

I often mention the December 18, 2020 meeting where Sidney Powell, Michael Flynn, & Patrick Byrne (the Overstock dot com guy) swept into the White House uninvited & ambled into Trump’s office, then tried to convince him to have the military “re-run” the election.

🧵 w/excerpts:
“But Origins,” you say, “surely you’re not JUST relying on Patrick Byrne’s word!”

I am not. It was covered amply by the real media.

CNN, for instance:

The Guardian, complete with Mitt Romney’s reaction:

ASOG and Phil Waldron are names you know if you’ve followed @get_innocuous.

If you haven’t: ASOG is a firm that makes its living telling failed Republican candidates — many who lost in primaries, some that lost in general elections — that they lost bc of fraud.

Waldron is scum.
Anyway, read the thread to see how these people — many of whom were and *are* instrumental in Stop the Steal bullshit — wanted to do a coup to ignore the election results with the help of SCOTUS and Pence.

This document was *in the hands of the White House Chief of Staff.*
Note that this “re-run the election” idea is fairly similar to what Sidney Powell and Mike Flynn pitched in the White House meeting with Trump on December 18.

Why would that be attractive to the Trump camp? Two reasons — first, obviously, Trump lost and they wanted a do-over.
