But I was utterly wrong.

HIRING

For the last two months, my #1 focus at GrowthSchool has been hiring.

I tried many portals but nothing seemed to work.

Most of the folks we hired were from internal contacts or direct reach out.

When I think about the whole gamut, there is one thing that stands out firmly,

It's .. showing intent to talking ratio.

What do I mean by that?

We have had great profiles applied across all channels,

But when we reach out for interviews, most of them don't show up,

They ask us to reschedule, and some just don't respond.

I got agitated and posted a tweet,

"Waiting for someone to deliver great candidates in 10 mins."

On that sarcastic post,

A bunch of folks asked me to try 𝗛𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁

So, I did.

I uploaded two roles that needed to be filled asap.

It took me like 5 mins to post both the jobs.

And in no time, I started to get direct messages from potential candidates to chat and close right away.

I was blown away by the matching algorithm the folks at @hirect_india have built.

I am speaking with a few candidates, and we are in the last stage of interviews.

But with this experience, I am convinced that disruption of traditional hiring is here.

Won't be surprised, if founders could actually pick great candidates in a short amount of time, without any consultants involved.
