I've gone through your review on Engr Kayode Ojo and I will love to make certain points. In the latest interview he did, he clearly stated his visions some of which you highlighted in your review. But let us break them down.

Thread.
1. Ekiti Master Plan:

For years, Ekiti seems not to have any DEVELOPMENT MASTER PLAN. If we do, I'm sure they are outdated. The current administration is working on one. For sake of continuity and sustainability, he promised to review it and harmonise with his own. Fair enough.
Specifically, he gave a timeline of 6 months to review the ongoing Development Master Plan of Ekiti by the current administration, harmonise with the one his team is working on and we can then have a robust Development Master Plan for the state.

Timeline: 6 months.
2. Massive Investment in Infrastructure.

You rightly pointed out in your review that he is a CEO of SEPLAT and handling Infrastructure won't be a problem for him. He is also a DEVELOPER and a PLANNER. The experience is there. But in his interview, he talked about funding...
He is a process driven man and he won't just talk in abstract. So how do we fund this Infrastructure. He talked about funds from development partners like AFDB, EU, World Bank etc. He also went further to talk about Ekiti in Diaspora who can come home and invest. Fair enough.
3. Education

You missed this in your review. Engr Kayode clearly emphasised on two major issues with our education in Ekiti. One, standardisation of infrastructure in our education section and two, most critical, quality of training for education administrators and teachers.
You don't call such promise abstract in your review. They are vision that can be measured if he becomes the Governor of Ekiti State. Again, funding will come from SUBEB and other partners. It therefore means that he will take the issue of counter part funding serious. Fair enough
4. Health Tourism

In his interview, he also buttressed the need to invest in our health sector in terms of infrastructure. However,he emphasised the need to bring our experts back home so as to develop local capacity here (transfer of knowledge and experience) which is important
His vision is to see Ekiti becoming destination for health Tourism and we can do that. We can build on ABUAD Hospital. What we need to do is therefore fast track the construction of major roads that lead to Ekiti and most importantly the airport. He is clear about that.
5. Foreign Direct Investments.

This area is the major key strength of Engr Kayode Ojo. As a CEO of multi billion oil and gas companies in over 5 countries, with vast technical experience over decades, he is the most capable hands if we want to drive private investors to Ekiti.
In fact, if you've paid attention to his campaign message, two major agenda are obvious..

Drive Investment

Invest in Infrastructure

So, his vision is to ensure that we sustain some of the ongoing private investment friendly policy of this administration.
6. SMEs

In that same interview, he was specific on the issue of SMEs. He stated that we must provide funds for local SMEs to thrive in Ekiti. This is also tied to his vision on private investment in Ekiti. So many Federal Govt intervention funds for SMEs will be utilised.
My dear Lois, I will love to stop for now but I can say this with all confidence that Engr Kayode Ojo represent a new fresh idea into our politics in Ekiti. He has been consistent with this vision right from 2018 when he came 3rd during the primary.
Let me state here that on the Ongoing Airport Project in Ekiti, he supported the government with the design and construction of the Fire Service Station with his personal cost. That tells you how passionate he is when it comes to providing infrastructure.
Since he picked up his form, he has been engaging with all the party delegates and stakeholders across the 177 Wards in Ekiti State.

Mission is simple: He represents a new order and that is to bring his years of experience in the private sector to serve the state.

Thanks.
Let's I forget. Other critical issues Engr Kayode Ojo raised during that interview include improving on our IGR which he tied to how we must boost local productivity. Our comparative advantage centers on Agriculture, Tourism, Tech Hubs etc.

Thanks.

In the last few days, Mr @Olayinkalere has been spreading one news about @ekitistategov selling the Ekiti House at Asokoro Abuja.

As usual, the news has been spreading like fire & my Egbon @leespanyol just put it on his TL.

First, it is nothing but Fake news.

Thread.
Note: I don't work with the state govt so I expect them to issue official statement in due course.

However, Egbon Lere is known for fake news and most of our people can easily buy this news.

The onus is on people like us to find out the truth and set the record straight.
So let us look at the House in question. The Ekiti House that Lere is claiming to have been sold was bought by Segun Oni's administration. The house was renovated to suit the taste of the then govt.

After Oni left office, Fayemi used the house in 1st term for 4years.

Going by my little findings from the "agbagbas" in respect of the Obas Vs Ekiti state government, I think the Governor might need to apply some wisdom.

Thread.
So, let us start with the emergence of "Pelupelu Obas". Who are these Obas?

From my findings, these "Pelupelu Obas" are the direct descendants of Oduduwa and they include:
1. Owa Obokun of Ijesha
2. Alaye of Efon Alaye
3. Owa Oye of Okemesi
4. Alara of Aramoko
5. Ajero of Ijero Ekiti
6. Olojido of Ido
7. Oore of Otun
8. Oloye of Oye Ekiti
9. Onitaji of Itaji Ekiti
10. Elekole of Ikole Ekiti
11. Ewi of Ado
12. Ologotun of Otun Ekiti
13. Aarinjile of Ise
14. Elemure of Emure
15. Ogoga of Ikere
16. Deji of Akure

Aregbe had lost his popularity in the 2nd term. APC had already been divided. Oyetola wasn't that popular.

PDP had one single job to do. Put your house in order and get a credible candidate that can appeal to the conscience of the people.

No, they brought Michael Jackson.
I'm not saying Osun election was perfect but hey, PDP could have won that election with a more serious and credible candidate hands down plus putting their house in order.

How many serious minded folks in Osun will even vote for Michael Jackson.

What u get is apathy.
Will my PDP folks tell me that the best candidate they could have presented in Osun is Michael Jackson.

Are u guys actually serious or u just want to take people for a ride.

This opposition is stinking

Good evening sir, H.E @kfayemi

The issue of tractor has been one of the major issues confronting farmers in Ekiti. As i speak with you sir, the Ministry of Agriculture has just one tractor. The others are as good as dead.
How can farmers rely on one tractor sir?
For me to access this one tractor, i have been on the queue for weeks. Even when i had to pay 12,000 per hectare excluding money for Diesel and feeding for the tractor Operator.

How many small holders farmer can bear this sir?
I strongly believe sir that procurring more tractors for the Ministry is another avenue for boosting our IGR. Imagine how much will the state make during farming season. For me to plough just 5hectares today, i have paid 85,000. Imagine if we have 16tractors, one in each LG..

Good afternoon sir @kfayemi

I am aware that the Ekiti state govt have started collecting 100naira per day from Okada riders and other commercial vehicles with the aim of boosting our IGR.

Good. However, with the current template, half of the money will go into private purse.
I took my time to interract with some Okada riders to actually analyse their opinions sir @kfayemi

While i discovered that most of the bikes i took have been collecting the tickets, it was obvious some of their colleagues have developed the gimmick of beating the system.

How?
Currently, we don't even have the accurate data on Okada riders/other commercial vehicles in the state. I humbly think that should be the first step.

How do we know how much is the state making per day on this initiative if we don't have accurate figure of okadas in Ado alone.
