Prof Anandakrishnan was a man of integrity. He refused to take up honorary posts in deemed universities & private colleges post-retirement. Jeppiaar had visited his modest flat in Adyar offering him a princely sum to take up an assignment. He refused. 2/7
Once the chairman of a group of colleges lent Prof Anandakrishnan Rs 1,000 at the international airport in Chennai when he did not have Indian currency upon returning from abroad. A few days later he returned the money. The educational institutions owner framed the currency. 3/7
