Sad to hear that Prof M Anandakrishnan, former Vice Chancellor of Anna University, is no more. He was also a former Chairman, Board of Governors, IIT Kanpur. He headed the Committee on whose recommendation Karunanidhi abolished the TN Professional Courses Entrance Examination 1/7 Prof Anandakrishnan was a man of integrity. He refused to take up honorary posts in deemed universities & private colleges post-retirement. Jeppiaar had visited his modest flat in Adyar offering him a princely sum to take up an assignment. He refused. 2/7
