1. Number of COVID-19 positive cases increases by 3.

2. ICMR approves Sri Ramachandra Medical College & Research Institute as fourth private COVID-19 testing lab. 1/7

3.Govt directs pvt banks, microfinance institutions, SHGs to defer collection of interest/capital till further orders or face action. Not applicable for EMIs.
4. Nine teams of senior IAS officers, to enforce personal distancing/isolation and address issues faced by people 2/7

5. Chennai cops damage newspaper delivery agents' bikes, cops in districts wield lathis, physically punish those on roads. A few cops helpful
6. Chennai Corporation appeals against stigmatising quarantined people. They are not COVID-19+. Releases officials' contact details

7. TN reiterates Grofers, Amazon, Big Basket, Flipkar, Dunzo can function. No to Zomato / Swiggy. Yes to small caterers serving the elderly and patients.

8. Government clarifies there is absolutely no restriction in functioning of shops dealing in essentials.

11.Foreign returnees after February 15 must remain under home quarantine as decided by health officials. 54,000 foreign returnees must self-quarantine or face action

12.Poor pregnant women,HIV+, hypertension, renal ailment, TB patients will be given 2 month medicines

13. AIADMK MPs donate one month salary. MPs to allocate Rs 1 crore from funds, MLAs Rs 25 lakh each from funds. Vaiko, CPI (M) MPs pledge Rs 1 crore each from MPLADS funds.
