NifflerDAO Forking insight (pun unintended) and logic:

In general, forkable projects are those with superiority mechanisms with high popularity, (ie the wolf game) and in combination with many other insecure forks, pried opened the massive capital on the market.

One of the significant advantages of a OHM fork is the low cost and its barrier to entry. Basically everyone can copy and paste the codes and call themselves xxxxxDao.finance. Hence the rugs.

Contrast with the extreme uncertainty for projects that build from the ground up, thus, most of the forks would incline to develop with open source code, reducing the difficulty and effort of development.

Based on the success of original projects, forks can easily anticipate positive reviews from the market on different major chains. This highlights the insecurity and lack of creativity of forks (including OHM forks).
