#SupremeCourt to hear plea challenging the appointment of Rakesh Asthana as Delhi Police Commissioner along with a Special Leave Petition (SLP) against the judgment of Delhi High Court upholding his appointment. 
Central Government in its affidavit justifying the appointment, informed the Supreme Court that the appointment has been made considering the extremely challenging situations in the National Capital.
Adv Prashant Bhushan appearing for the petitioner submits that the office report says that affidavits has been submitted by the respondents, I can argue it today as it'll not take much time.
Justice Chandrachud- The difficulty is that today #neetpg2021counselling matter is listed and it is urgent, we want to reach that, so we can keep it for some other day.
