𝗧𝗛π—₯π—˜π—”π——: Republicans will never be able to evade culpability for their role in the #Jan6th insurrection.

Here’s why β†’
π‘‡β„Žπ‘’ 𝑒𝑣𝑖𝑑𝑒𝑛𝑐𝑒 𝑖𝑠 π‘π‘™π‘’π‘Žπ‘Ÿ:
Extremist House Republicans fanned the flames that led to the #Jan6thInsurrection.

They perpetuated the Big Lie and deliberately misled the American people all to curry favor with a failed ex-President.
nytimes.com/2021/01/11/us/…
Publicly, 224 House Republicans failed to acknowledge the truth about the 2020 election, effectively ignoring millions of American voices. rollingstone.com/politics/polit…
Privately, however, the GOP’s story was a bit different… thehill.com/homenews/house…
They clearly knew Trump was lying, and yet they knowingly (and selfishly) perpetuated his claim in order to keep courting his voters. usatoday.com/story/news/pol…
The GOP’s β€œall about me” mentality endangered:

- Police
- Staff
- Custodians
- Journalists
- Their colleagues
- And so many more

The GOP whipped Trump's tantrum into a murderous frenzy.

They could have stopped it, but they didn’t.
In the days, weeks, and months after #Jan6th? The GOP tried to hold itself together with scotch tape by:

1) Staying silent
2) Refusing to acknowledge it
3) Downplaying the severity (Solemn reminder that 9 people died because of #Jan6, 5 of whom were cops)

A closer look:
The GOP has stayed silent when their constituents needed them to speak out.

#Jan6th
politico.com/newsletters/pl…
The GOP has refused to acknowledge the severity of the #Jan6th seditious mob.

In fact, they’ve done everything to prevent the truth from coming out:
You caught how @GOPLeader tried to put Jim Jordan on the #Jan6thCommittee, right?

We can only imagine why…
Over the last year, the GOP has downplayed the severity of #Jan6th.
So back to the question, β€œWhy is the GOP scared, dodgy, and misleading when it comes to #Jan6th?”

Here’s the answer:
This will only get worse for Republicans, considering at least 5 candidates on their 2022 ticket were active participants in the insurrection.

The GOP’s malignant, extremist faction only has plans to grow.
Republicans want us to forget the #Jan6thInsurrection.

π—₯𝗧 if you’re committed to holding them accountable for their reckless actions on and leading up to that day.

Democrats’ Infrastructure Deal will provide a massive fix for our nation’s roads, bridges, ports, and so much more.

These are real, substantial wins for our communities β€” so here’s a snapshot on how a few will benefit: 🧡

NEW πŸ’» AD: We just launched our largest voter contact ad of the 2020 election cycle to date -- a Spanish-language digital ad exposing Rep. @WillHurd’s failure to stand up for migrant children who were left behind in a Texas detention facility van. #TX23
cbsnews.com/news/democrats…
Our ad reads: β€œΒΏPor quΓ© el Congresista Hurd no ha abogado por los niΓ±os inmigrantes que han sido abandonados en camionetas?”

Translation: β€œWhy hasn't Congressman Will Hurd spoken up for immigrant children left in vans?”
Earlier this month, a botched effort by the Trump administration left 37 migrant children in a van β€œunder the blistering Texas sun” -- most for at least 23 hours.

Rep. @WillHurd failed to convince his party to take action against these kinds of abuses.

BREAKING: After flipping FORTY seats from red to blue in 2018, we've officially got our sights set on THIRTY-THREE more -- and we're ready to get to work!

Take a look at our first offensive battlefield of the 2020 cycle:
Our Chair @CheriBustos is keeping her promises and wasting no time by working to expand our Democratic House Majority.
Presidential approval polls in 2020 are shaping up to be a lot like 2008 -- when Democrats continued the blue wave from the midterm. History is on our side, which means Democrats are poised to expand our House Majority even further. fivethirtyeight.com/features/the-2…

Because of you and hard-working candidates, Democrats retook the House with the largest popular vote margin of any party ever, no less!

Here's how we flipped the most Democratic seats since Watergate! (39 and counting)
As the first elected Chair, Ben Ray LujΓ‘n pounded the pavement the entire cycle, traveling over 52,000 miles through 27 cities and 17 states. He held events or meetings with 93 separate candidates for a total of 151 candidate meetings and events on the road.
We built a battlefield of 111 seats – the largest in over a decade. Our final #RedtoBlue program included:
4️⃣8️⃣ women
2️⃣7️⃣ people under 40
2️⃣1️⃣ diverse candidates
1️⃣9️⃣ veterans and intelligence officers
