In case you’re having problems understanding the medical terms: omicron Covid is systemic. That means it affects your entire system. Not just your lungs.

Omicron does have a reduced impact on lung cells. But that doesn’t make infection with the virus safer.

Endothelial cells of vasculature are seriously impacted by omicron. While these cells are not limited to the lungs, it includes the lungs since this is where oxygenation of our blood occurs.

The endothelial cells line every blood vessel. Veins and arteries all the way down to capillaries.

So when we use the word systemic, it’s describing every part of your body. Because every organ, muscle and neutron needs oxygen supplied by blood vessels: your vascular system.

If you are infected with omicron, regardless of your age, it will most likely affect your blood vessels. Every blood vessel.

The elderly have more rigid blood vessels after a lifetime of use, that’s not surprising. Thus, the higher risk of death.

But that risk of long term impacts and death is still present, even in the very young. Babies and small children are at risk. There is no doubt since they can’t get vaccinated.

Even older children have large risks.

All blood vessels have an endothelial layer.

Omicron is so new, science hasn’t caught up with the long term effects of contracting the virus. Chicken Pox virus lays dormant in our system after infection and can rear it’s ugly head as Shingles several decades later.

We don’t have decades of data to extrapolate the long term effects of Covid infection on the vascular system of children and adults who are infected.

The existence of long Covid symptoms indicate the virus has an impact on the body’s systems.

Whether that’s limited to a subgroup or includes everyone who is infected is unknown. And it won’t be known until decades of data are collected and analyzed.

Meaning anything but zero tolerance is playing Russian Roulette with patient’s lives. Because the outcome is unknown.

And the outcome will remain unknowable for several decades.

That means Canadian premiers are making decisions based on economics in the present that may have life long implications for our children and adults under 70.

The majority of citizens have avoided infection. Safety measures have permitted most to avoid infection altogether.

Omicron is different. It is so contagious, the vast majority of the population will contract the virus. Even with safety measures like masks and self distancing.

Basically the premiers have chosen the economy over people’s lives.

Death from a stroke at 15 years after infection with Covid at 10 years is a possibility for long Covid effects. Even if the initial infection symptoms were mild and quickly recovered from by the child.

The thing is, science doesn’t know and will have no way of knowing until decades pass.

My point: keeping schools open under these conditions is highly irresponsible. Children and adults in a school environment are guaranteed infection.

Many may even be asymptomatic. But the effect the virus has on their vascular system is unknown. And won’t be known until years from now.

Meaning zero tolerance for infection is the only safe route for our children and general population. Regardless of economic implications.

Ten to forty percent of the infected develop long term Covid.

Premiers are sacrificing our children’s future for immediate economic gain.

We neither have the luxury of indifference or the ability to permit madmen to make lifelong decisions for our children’s health.

Schools MUST be kept closed until this wave has peaked and all schools are made safer. Our children’s lives are more of a priority than the bank accounts of employers. Schools are not daycares.

And that opens another debate. Daycares are full of unvaccinated children.

Every one of them will develop omicron infection. Unless we shut down daycares.

Our future and more importantly, our children’s future, is more important than a stable economy in the present.

We cannot sacrifice an entire generation of children to enrich the wealthy.

The level of malice and contempt for human life that is required to make those decisions after this is explained is astounding.

Premiers and CMOHs have this information and still children are going to be forced to attend in person classes and get infected.

Only a sadistic, malignant, narcissistic deviant would ignore the realities of the situation and be willing to sacrifice an entire generation of children to maintain his & his party’s hold on power and keep donations coming in from wealthy supporters.

Unfortunately, more than one province is being governed by men like this. Ontario, Saskatchewan, Alberta all have twisted monsters who have no conscience at the helm.

It is incumbent on the electorate, the public, to intervene and say no. We won’t sacrifice our children.

The time to voice that opinion is now.
