Regardless of milder symptoms, the sheer number of those with more complicated situations requiring healthcare intervention will overwhelm hospitals and medical personnel. There simply aren’t enough professionals to address the needs of so many people who are all sick at once.

That’s the game changer of omicron.

Milder, yes.

Four to five times or more contagious than Delta. So significantly more people will contract this virus than Delta and all at once.

Within a week this is going to overwhelm healthcare and begin to impact essential services.

When garbage removal, snow removal, grocery sales, stocking of shelves & transportation, pharmacies, water treatment, power generation, natural gas distribution, city hall, police, fire and ambulance emergency services begin to collapse, we are in big trouble.

This is the change in the game that people are refusing to acknowledge. It’s not just hospitals that will struggle to maintain adequate provision of services. If everyone is sick, all at once, essential services cease to exist.

It’s called social collapse.

And I’m case anyone believes I’m hyperbolically exaggerating the issue, I’ve NEVER made this claim before today.

I sure hope we have back up plans. This could get ugly fast. I’m sick with anxiety. That’s why I’ve been so grumpy lately. I knew about this in December 2021.

But I wanted a stress free Merry Christmas. For me and everyone else.
