The Ohio Supreme Court ordered the #redistricting commission to redraw legislative maps. What happens next?

.@ohiogop chair @Paduch on Republican Chief Justice Maureen O'Connor: "It’s a failure of leadership of the Chief Justice to take 90 days to make this decision and leave only 10 days for the commission to clean it up. She is responsible for this mess."

Super in the weeds on which House Democrat will be on this commission:
DeWine has to reconstitute the committee (he's talking with lawyers about that) then the House Minority Leader has to pick who is on the commission.
E. Sykes stepped down 12/31 and Dems just picked A. Russo.
But Russo isn't *officially* minority leader till next week's session. So acting leader Kristin Boggs will make the pick. Boggs told me she'll pick whoever Russo/the caucus tells her to.

Ohio Redistricting Commission hearing in Warrensville Heights has begun. Democrats expected to offer an amendment to the maps. You can follow along here. ohiochannel.org/live/special-e…
Democrats are offering their proposed amendments, which would give them 42 House and 13 Senate seats.
Here's what was uploaded to Dave's Redistricting:

Under the proposed Democrat map, Forest Park would be in the 29th district but keep it with Springdale, Mount Healthy and North College Hill.

There would be one GOP House district in western Hamilton County, likely pitting Rep. Abrams v. Rep. Seitz. Don't see GOP liking that.
