Update : A gunman is holding hostages at Congregation Beth Israel in Colleyville, Texas. The gunman entered the synagogue at the end of the sabbath services.
Update: Police have reportedly begun negotiations with someone inside the synagogue believed to be a suspect.

We take no position on the NYC Mayoral race, but strongly oppose efforts to intimidate leaders who take a stand against BDS, which is a campaign of hate.
The purpose of BDS is not to protest Israeli policies as some claim, but to isolate and pressure Israel until it collapses as a Jewish and democratic state. Furthermore, BDS actively harms peace efforts by opposing Israeli-Palestinian cooperation.

Many activists on Twitter have been falling all over themselves to defend Linda Sarsour (@lsarsour).
Here's a reminder of her record:
In 2011, she tweeted the grotesquely offensive statement below, which was especially disturbing because Ayaan Hirsi Ali is a survivor of female genital mutilation.
Sarsour has close ties to the Nation of Islam (NOI), a racist, #antisemitic & homophobic hate group, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center. Sarsour pays NOI members to act as her security detail & embraces their hateful leader, @LouisFarrakhan.
