An effort by Trump’s campaign legal team to get Republicans in key swing states to send alternate slates of electors to Washington ahead of the Jan. 6, 2021, election certification hit a snag in Pennsylvania when GOP leaders here balked
1/

lancasteronline.com/news/politics/…
Republican electors in two other states — Pennsylvania and Nevada — hedged the language on their certificates to say they’d cast their votes for Trump only if his election challenges succeeded in the courts.
2/
That small distinction could spare Trump electors in those two states the legal trouble potentially facing their counterparts in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada and Wisconsin.

Republican Committee Chairman and Trump elector Sam DeMarco “We were not going to sign unless the
language was changed to say ‘if.’ This was in no way, shape or form us trying to go around the election” DeMarco has been among the highest-profile GOP in the state to push back against false allegations of widespread fraud in the 2020 election made by Trump and his allies

The #ElectionFraud was run by Trump campaign

Trump camp lawyer James Fitzpatrick, of Philly pitched the declaration to electors. Bc state and fed laws req electoral votes to be cast on Dec 14, they needed to sign the declaration on that day, Trump campaign officials told them

The #electionfraud was also run by @PAGOP

The state Republican Party issued a press release on that date announcing that the Trump electors had met to cast their votes.

On J3, heads of a half-dzn elite gov special ops teams met in Quantico to go over potential threats, and plans for the upcoming Joint Session of Congress. The meeting, and the subsequent deployment of these commandos on J6, has never before been revealed newsweek.com/exclusive-secr…
ACting AG Rosen made a unilateral decision to take the prep steps to deploy DOJ and so-called "national" forces. There was no formal request from the CP, the Secret Service, or the Metro Police in fact, no external request
from any agency. The leadership in Justice and the FBI anticipated the worst and decided to act independently, the special ops forces lurking behind the scenes.

On the morning of J6 most of these forces staged closer to downtown DC particularly after intel

"Don't Look Up", by @gregolear

A. Thanks for getting your booster Greg!
B. Yes I stayed in
C. I watched @dontlookupfilm and fucking loved it! For those of us who have been paying attention for at least the last 5 years, this is a must see! The undoubtable snark and asides,

the attitude of Jason, the Djr character (Jason? Oh shit!) Streep was a perfect blend of Trump and Sarah Palin, and that blonde wig, which was her idea, was perfection!
D. I agree, I saw none of Sirota, and all of McKay (I love the "anti-Wes Anderson" reference BTW)
E. Agree. I did not see this as a movie about climate change. I saw it as a movie about what could happen if we get another admin like the last one. Like, don't fuck around people, they can't handle nuclear war, or anything else that would destroy us. Look what they did in Syria!

@PAAttorneyGen What?

In Nov 2008 PA Trooper Jay Splain was honored at a county LE banquet as a hero, the officer of the year. The reason: He had shot and killed a suicidal man who allegedly pointed an Uzi submachine gun at him

That was the first killing
nytimes.com/2021/12/30/us/…
Splain went on to fatally shoot 3 more in separate incidents, an extraordinary tally for an officer resp for patrolling largely rural areas with low rates of violent crime. All 4 who died were troubled, struggling with drugs, mental illness or both. In two cases, incl that of the
man with the Uzi, family members had called the police for help because their relatives had threatened to kill themselves.

Navarro says he and Steve Bannon were actually behind the last-ditch coordinated effort by rogue Republicans in Congress to halt certification of the 2020 election results and keep President Donald Trump in power earlier this year, in a plan dubbed the “Green Bay Sweep.”
At 1 p.m., @RepGosar and @tedcruz did exactly what was expected of them. It was a perfect plan. We didn’t even need any protestors, because we had over 100 congressmen committed to it.”

This last-min maneuvering never had a chance of decertifying the election results on its own, a point that he quickly acknowledges. But their hope was to run the clock as long as possible to increase public pressure on Pence to send the electoral votes back to 6 contested states
