Lewis C Jones: The college did everything they could do to stall but a ruling was made in our favor, & we'll start voting on bringing in the union in February. HACC followed the handbook for union-busting but we've prevailed & will have a vote.

Lewis Jones: People are putting in the time & money to get degrees & want to turn around & help educate the next generation, but if they're basically working for slave wages, it makes it hard to make sure students get the best education possible.

Lewis C Jones: Most adjuncts can't pay off their own student loans, & instead of concentrating on educating their students, they're worried about paying their own bills & taking care of their families.

Lewis C Jones: Most students are there to improve on the skill set they have or to build a whole new skill set. If the college focuses only on getting tuition payments, we're failing b/c we're not putting the money where it needs to go.

Lewis C Jones: The majority of the money gets paid to those at the top while cutting faculty or using more adjuncts.
