around* means, 2 days leading up to the moon event and the event day itself. Which resulted in 650 "moon quakes" of the total 1700 quake days, 92 at Mag7-8, 589 at 6-6.9.

with neap tide 3346 / 18.7%,

1st result: At neap tide, Mag 7-8 quakes tend to happen more than Mag 6 quakes, and quakes at full🌛 are less coincident with a quake.
But the actual number of shallow Mag6-8 quakes on a given day is also interesting in the light of the moon.

This is the # of Mag6-Mag 8, shallow max. 19km deep quakes on a single day since 1973, and how the moon🌛events fall into it. Comparison with (% from earlier) determine🟩= higher 🟧= lower.

The excursion is a byproduct of a different project. But anyway, I always wanted to know this since my years in quake-active Nu Zilland. So I'm happy now🙂
I'll probably look into it some more. Maybe go for yet shallower quakes, as shallow as 9km. And extend magnitude range to 5?

The quake data quality is alright, but for the fact that depths 10km and 15km have been used as placeholder for when the depth wasn't clear. With "reviewed" quakes, those depths are safe, tho, I hope.
