There are a few people questioning our new approach (‘ENGAGING’) with the new administration of President Samia which is slightly different from attacking strategy against Dr. Magufuli. Those who question our new approach should realize that times have changed, this is a new era.
Please read the Bible verse ecclesiastes 3:1-8: To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; A time of war, and a time of peace
The late President Magufuli's administration was plagued by numerous acts of human rights abuses, citizens were abducted, people were abducted and killed, media was banned, journalists were abducted and prosecuted, our freedom of speech and expression was curtailed.
During the five years of President Magufuli's administration, citizens' rights were violated, there was no freedom of information or freedom of the press, we were being forcefully ruled by an iron fist. We had no choice but to stand firm against injustice committed by the regime.
Our strategy was to attack evey injustice and dramatize the shameful conditions in this country. We did this at great cost to our lives and those we love. We attacked every bad policy, every injustice and implored the government to respect human rights and the rule of LAW.
We fought against tyranny and oppression until President Magufuli's totalitarian rule collapsed after the death his death. During the period we are fighting against the totalitarian rule of President Magufuli many Tanzanians were afraid even to open their mouths.
We were kidnapped, betrayed, tortured, we were threatened with death and threats to our families, we lost our jobs, business, friends and even close people isolated us. But, we never cowed nor retreated. We never slowed down nor stopped to advocate for Equality and Justice.
When Pres. Samia came to power she made a ‘promise’ by clearly stating that all the evils committed in Magufuli's government will never happen again. She pledged to ensure that she restored national unity and also promised to meet politicians to discuss the future of our nation.
The new era of President Samia began with optimism, hope, national unity, freedom of information and freedom of the press, freedom to do politics, equality before the law, justice, human rights and good governance. Every Tanzanian was happy for the new era.
‘Team Space’ activists and some opposition leaders especially CHADEMA were not happy with President Samia's promises, they did not like the president making promises to build national unity, they did not like the gentle president who promised to meet with opposition politicians.
‘Team Space’ self-proclaimed activists and some opposition leaders they wanted an oppressive and totalitarian president like Magufuli. President who will violate human rights, torture and kill her own citizens. The president who will shut down the media and abduct journalists.
because a dictatorial president, a president who violates the rights of citizens, kills his people, tortures and imprisons people illegally and arbitrarily he helps these activists ask for donations from donors under the pretext of fighting for civil rights.
The arrival of President Samia became a thorn in the side of these activists and some opposition politicians. From the very beginning they refused to cooperate with President Samia. They even refused to give her time to lead the country during early period of regime change.
‘Team Space’ made it clear they would not cooperate with President Samia nor give her time. At the same time CHADEMA launched a new Constitution movement. They started with internal Conferences (which was allowed) and then threatened unlimited protests across the country.
President Samia pleaded with them again to give her time to put the country in line and improve the economy. CHADEMA did not wait even until three months, they started a movement to demand a new constitution and pressured President Samia to meet them or face consequences.
What followed was the arrest of Freeman Mbowe and other members of CHADEMA who planned to stage a protest in Mwanza to demand a new constitution which was not approved by the Police Force. Subsequently, Mbowe was charged with terrorism which we deemed politically motivated.
The fact is that we still believe the charge of terrorism against Mbowe is politically motivated. But it is now in court. Let's see what the end of it. We have been at the forefront of insisting that we want justice to be done.
To conclude; Pres. Samia got off to a very good start with good intentions but a few Tanzanians who wanted to use rifts as a way to get donor funds they wanted to sabotage her efforts so that they would say she has failed. Let us fight for our Tanzania and reject these people.
A better Tanzania will be built by Tanzanians through cooperation, unity, love and solidarity. We should not waste time insulting and criticizing the President for no reason, let’s use our time constructively to build own own future and a better country. #TanzaniaKwanza

#Ethiopians cannot find common ground on the future of the country by engaging in half-hearted and exclusionary processes. Crucially, a genuine dialogue cannot unfold while major armed conflicts are ongoing. #EndTigraySiege foreignpolicy.com/2022/01/24/eth…
The government must seek a peaceful end to the conflict with the Tigrayan forces, the Oromo Liberation Army, which has been fighting for self-determination for the Oromo people, and other armed groups in the country.
Federal authorities bear the primary responsibility for building trust and confidence, and creating the conditions necessary for a comprehensive, inclusive, and credible national dialogue.

#Tanzania: The authorities have started the process of amending the online content and the radio and television broadcasting content regulations of the Electronic and Postal Communications Act.
The current regulations give the Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority (TCRA) wide discretionary powers to license blogs, websites, and other online content,…..
……, and prohibit radio and television broadcasters from working with foreign broadcasters unless staff from the communications authority or other government department are physically present. Nothing protects the media and journalists against the executive any more in Tanzania.
