Rick: There's been Secret Service protection outside John Bolton's house, & black bags were seen being removed from his house.
Bob Ney: I've tried to find out what's going on. I don't know why Sec. Srvc is there since Bolton isn't in WH any more.

Bob Ney: Remember, the Secret Service is a semi-arm of the Treasury.
Rick: Ohhhhh. Wonder what that could bring us.
Bob: There are other agencies to provide protection. I don't know why it's the Secret Service.

Bob Ney: Because it is the Secret Service, it could be Bolton has some kind of intelligence-sensitive material they want to have. Bolton had been an NSA guy. It's not a protection factor--it can't be since he's not WH personnel.

Bob Ney: There are a couple of things that have happened w/ Jan. 6 committee. One was Justice Dept charging ppl w/ sedition, which brings an entirely different element to this whole deal.

Bob Ney: The second thing is they're moving on this [fake electors papers]. I think Justice would move on this. The fake electors papers were nearly put in the National Archives. It was not a story in The Onion.

Bob Ney: The Justice Dept should go after the fake electors papers with a simultaneous investigation by the Jan 6 commission.

Bob Ney: Forget sedition for a minute. What if someone was doing something in the Capitol but not on the Floor? You get a longer sentence doing damage to a Post Office. I think the new sedition charges will make a difference in the 700 people remaining.

Bob Ney: If you put these pieces together, a speedy, united process by Dems on a Supreme Court nominee will help. This won't solve everything, however. If Dems aren't united, though, it hurts. I'm relating this to Jan 6 committee. What on earth took so long?

Bob Ney: I think questioning Judd Deere is appropriate; they'd probably have an easier time getting answers from him than from any of the Trump children.

Bob Ney: With Judd Deere, he supposedly has a lot of first-hand knowledge of Trump--his demeaner, behavior. He formulated the WH response to the attack. He was asking who was doing what & when & formulated the response.

Bob Ney: As far as Ukraine, I know the President is being pushed by a lot of people. The Pres. of Ukraine may have wanted to downlow the thing. We know they had a conversation about the current situation in Ukraine. We can't get more hawkish than Ukraine is about Russia.

Rick: What we DO know about Biden's conversation with the Pres. of Ukraine is that Biden didn't ask for quid pro quo. He didn't ask for anything in return.
