🧵In 2020 I started cancelling events and limiting social contact BEFORE the Gov told us to.
I started MASKING in the March, months BEFORE the gov told us to.
I pulled my kids out of school BEFORE they closed them in March.
I knew in the Dec things were going to get really bad

& took the kids out again BEFORE GOV told us to,I got grief off school but told them what was going to happen and sure enough when everyone sent their kids back in January & I didn't, schools closed a day later.

We upgraded our masks in 2021 (FFP2) & the kids wore them to school. When daughter started wearing it to school she was 8 (9 now) but prior to this was 7 wearing one in shops from the beginning. She's capable! So is my son now 11. A mask didn't stop them learning or having fun.

I was right when I said kids could get the virus despite the officials telling us they're more likely to get hit by a bus!
I was right that they were just as capable if not more so of spreading the virus when they told us kids don't transmit it as easily! And I was right that

Children do get sick, do get hospitalised and do die from this virus. I'm right when I say thousands will suffer long term health implications as a result. All from a virus that we know how to mitigate for.
I was right when I told my children's schools they needed HEPA filters.

They rejected the filters despite me buying them one. They continue to sing in large groups during the day, maskless and with insufficient ventilation even as classes are being closed all around them. I'm still right. They still reject.

I'm not a scientist or a fortune teller, I've not got psychic powers or a crystal ball. BUT I don't need HINDSIGHT when it's staring us in the face.

My point is I was right every single time I took action and I'm right now. So I will not be trusting this government's decisions with my children's health.

I will wait for vaccines for them, cases to lower and schools to be safer.

PS my kids aren't "missing out" or "poor kids" they're learning, happy & SAFE. They attend their clubs with friends, difference being it's only a handful of kids, outside or well ventilated, only for an hour and wear FFP2 masks. NOT the same as 6 hrs in class with no mitigations

NOT the same as sitting next to someone coughing on them all day.
I'm balancing the risks and will continue to do so.

I will NOT be bullied to deregister and I wish for them to return. But it will be on my terms, no one else's. END

FFP2, large hall, her and only 2 others in her grade,2 x fire door open practising her skating. Low risk. "Poor kid"

Son wears a Cambridge sports mask FFP2 doesn't inhibit performance, in fact in this game he got man of the match. Took his lead from pro footballer....."poor kid" Exercising, socialising & having fun, no one ever went to hospital for wearing a mask remember that!
