1/ NFT discussion series by paji #6-1: "Announcing New NFT Anime Project"
2/ [Announcement] Today I'm going to write about the CryptoNinja animation project, an example of the evolution of the NFT x animation industry in Japan. We are excited about realizing a new type of animation production through the use of NFT and
3/ community. The PV is produced by Fanworks (the studio responsible for the popular and successful "Sumikko Gurashi" movie, which ranked first at the theatrical box office with over 1 million viewers, as well as being popular on Neftlix).
4/ Last year, when Ikehaya-san and Rii2-san started the CryptoNinja NFT collection, I was so overwhelmed by the character designs, the idea of making a DAO, and the enthusiastic creators in the community that I decided to
5/ make an offer for the #001 blade (Jin), which was still not for sale at the time. That's how my story with CryptoNinja began.
6/ If you know the story of CryptoNinja, you already know the impact it has had on the NFT industry in Japan. According to the summary data (bit.ly/3p7Laeb), there are more than 600 participating creators, about 2,000 works, and the official Discord is
7/ one of the largest in Japan with more than 10,000 members. Plans are produced daily by the community, and its world of works is expanding autonomously.
8/ There are many people who became aware of NFT and started participating in the NFT space through CryptoNinja.
9/ I was thinking about what I could do to contribute to the world, when I was approached by Fanworks via Tsukurie & Battle, with whom I had a connection, about an animation project. Ikehaya-san and Rii2-san readily agreed, and today's announcement was made.
10/ My wish for this project is to "spread Japan's world-class animation to the rest of the world. Japanese animation is gaining popularity around the world, and the market size is now 2.4 trillion yen.
11/ In 2020, for the first time, the overseas market became larger than the domestic market, and I am convinced that by utilizing NFT, we will be able to deliver more of Japan's strengths to the world.
2/ This project is a challenge to raise new funds for animation production by using NFT.
3/ For example, the "work data" created during the production process is a coveted item for fans, and with NFT, fans can collect official works for themselves and directly support the funding of the next anime production in a transparent manner.
2/ The animation industry has the potential to take the world by storm from Japan, but with a declining population, the domestic market alone is becoming overly saturated with many forms of entertainment competing against each other, and overseas expansion is a must.
3/ I hope to create a pathway to overseas markets through this animation project. I want to work together with the community to break through.
