Here's Lucy amplifying the doctored far-right video of Keir Starmer.

Allan was one of three Tory MPs who shared the doctored video: Nadine Dorries deleted the Tweet without explanation; Maria Caulfield deleted her entire account; Lucy Allan deleted it but chose not to apologise & to double-down on the general point while not naming Starmer again.

Instead of apologising like any sane person would for sharing a doctored video from a far-right account, she said: "There was a total failure by the authorities to understand #cse #grooming, a dismissive attitude towards victims, & a belief that victims brought it on themselves."

Allan took the opportunity for self-promotion & provided a short quote to Aaron Banks’s divisive hard-right website Westmonster, in which she stated that “In standing up for victims of CSE in Telford I have had to challenge police, council, and CPS (vigorously).”

The account tweeting the doctored video had more than 25,000 followers. Other Tweets said that Priti Patel is “useless” for failing to prevent "illegal immigrants"; that the Nazis were Germans, & this explains Germany’s position on Europe; & illegal immigrants are “scumbags".

In 2015, two women who worked for Lucy Allan suggested she resign over allegations that she bullied them - one released a recording of Allan berating her for being off sick: Allan says she is “pathetic”, a “silly girl” & “we all know you’re not ill”.

Allan was in the news again in 2015 when she was forced to explain why she faked a death threat from a member of the public.

She had posted an edited comment targeting her on Facebook – but had added the line ‘unless you die’.

Despite all this, the most concerning thing *for me* is her fundamentalist ideology: in 2016 she said that on national issues her approach in general is to advance within parliament the "libertarian agenda". If you're unfamiliar with Right-libertarianism:
