Tennessee HB2835 was sent to the Health Subcommittee. This bill would ban trans-affirming medical care for minors and force schools to out trans students to their parents. This bill would kill.
Tennessee HB2633 was sent to the K-12 Subcommittee. This bill would explicitly allow school professionals to deadname and misgender their trans students and protect them from legal or workplace consequences for doing so. This bill exists only to promote cruelty.

This bill would ban all trans-affirming medical care for minors unless both guardians have given signed permission and the child has obtained two physician notes, one from a child psychiatrist.
Tennessee SB2777 was sent to the Education Committee. This bill explicitly allows school professionals to deadname and misgender trans students in their care and protects them from legal or workplace consequences for doing so. It is completely cruel and unnecessary.
Tennessee SB2696 was sent to the Health and Welfare Committee. This bill would ban all trans-affirming medical care for minors and require schools to out trans students to their parents. Make no mistake, this bill would be deadly to trans youth.
South Dakota has withdrawn HB1006. This bill is now DEAD. 🎉
This bill was an anti-trans sports bill that would have required all higher education to divide sports based on "biological sex" as determined by unchanged birth certificate.

South Dakota SB1005 has been deferred until the 41st Legislation Day, past March. This bill would divide all public school multi-occupancy sleeping areas, changing areas and bathrooms by assigned sex at birth.
Alabama HB170 was scheduled to have a hearing but the agenda did not actually get to the bill today. This bill would classify genital surgery unrelated to health or pregnancy performed on someone with "female genitalia" under the age of 19 as Female Genital Mutilation.
Alabama SB184 was reported on favorably by committee and has moved to the floor. This bill would ban all trans-affirming medical care for minors and force schools to out trans youth to their guardians. This bill would have a death toll.
Arizona HB2294 was passed by the Majority Caucus, meaning it has now moved onto the floor for a vote. This bill would require all official state documentation to only show either "male" or "female", erasing intersex and nonbinary people.
South Carolina HB4608 added several co-sponsors. This is a standard anti-trans sports bill that would require sports to be separated based on "biological sex" based on genitals, genetics and testosterone levels. This bill could allow forced genital examinations of children.
South Carolina representatives Haddon, Bannister, Magnuson, May, Dabney, Long, Willis, McCabe, Morgan, Bryant, V.S. Moss, Nutt and T. Moore have all added their names as sponsors to this bill that would place additional cost requirements only on girls athletics.
Georgia SB435 had a hearing today. This bill would demand that school athletics be divided based on "biological sex" as determined by unchanged birth certificate. If unavailable, girls (as this law would only apply to girls teams) must somehow "prove" their "biological sex."
Maryland HB757 has a hearing scheduled for 2/24 at 1 pm EST. This bill would separate school athletics based on "biological sex", and provides no guidance as to how that is to be determined.
Missouri HB2649 was read for a second time. This bill would ban all trans-affirming medical care for minors.
Oklahoma SB1249 was referred to the Government Committee and has a hearing scheduled for 2/10 at 1:30 pm CST. This bill would require everyone in the state to use the restroom according to their "biological sex", resulting in increased harassment of trans and GNC people.
Wyoming SB51 was pre-filed. This bill would mandate that school sports be divided based on "biological sex" as determined by unchanged birth certificate. This requirement only applies to girls teams.

South Carolina HB4608 got additional sponsors. This bill would mandate that school athletics be divided by "biological sex" as determined by genitals, genetics and testosterone levels. It then bars "males" from "female sports". This places a selective cost on girls athletics.

Indiana HB1041 was referred to the Senate Education and Career Development Committee. This bill has a hearing in TWO DAYS, on 2/9 at 1:30 pm EST. This is an anti-trans sports bill that prohibits "biological males" from playing in women and girl's sports.

Mississippi HB1099 has passed the House and moved onto the Senate. This bill would prevent incarcerated people from legally changing their names unless supported by a district attorney, sheriff, prison chaplin or the Commissioner of the Mississippi Dept of Corrections.
Virginia SB766 passed committee and is headed to the Senate floor for a vote. This bill would prevent trans girls from playing high school athletics. It does not specify how "biological sex" is to be determined, opening the door for sexual abuse.
