Recently we’ve posted a video that entails the roadmap of Zilliqa City.

To clear up the confusion regarding the difference between #Metapolis and Zilliqa City, here’s a thread explaining Zilliqa City, its role in #Metapolis and our vision for the city!

1/ Zilliqa City is our very own city in #Metapolis.

One analogy to help #ZILFAM better understand the difference between them is, Metapolis is the Universe where brands can build their own kingdoms in

2/ Zilliqa City is our very own kingdom in the Metapolis universe and will be the hub for all things Zilliqa related.

In Zilliqa City, you will be able to participate in events, socialise and interact with things built in the city.

3/ Metapolis will house many of these cities, with brands and dApps from both within and outside of our ecosystem integrating and having their own city for their communities.

Zilliqa City will be built by our team, for our #ZILFAM

4/ We’re expanding the use case of $gZIL to not just governance of our L1 platform, but our city too.

A decentralised L1’s city deserves governance from its first class citizens

5/ $gZIL will be used to decide on what gets developed in Zilliqa City, the kind of events that get hosted in the city and can even be locked up to buy advertising spots in the city - which can potentially be lucrative for brands trying to get the attention of #ZILFAM

6/ As the #metaverse starts to get more advanced, we expect the token economy to flourish inside Zilliqa City where more & more dapps, use cases and utility will be unlocked together with the community!

Spam transactions clog up the network, making meaningful transactions slower. This is why the next ZIP is important for #Zilliqans to vote and discuss on.

2) Ok the proposal's kinda long so here's a tl;dr

The problem? Spam. The proposed solution? Increase transaction costs from 0.002ZIL to 0.1ZIL.

Before you grab your pitchforks out, listen up, there's a reason why this makes sense!

(3) The increase in transaction costs makes it hard to spam the network. A million txns presently costs 2000 ZIL, the change would bring it to 100k ZILs. This makes it harder for our network to be targeted by spam attacks.
