1. math is the study of relationships between things. you can use known quantities to figure out unknown quantities. so math is about learning to know the unknown. it’s literal sorcery, to the uninitiated

4. stretching is not some sissy weaksauce thing you do to meekly stave off injury for your pathetic decrepit body, stretching is about cultivating the potent nimbleness and fluid dexterity of a child. physical nimbleness translates beautifully to nimbleness in all other domains
