Went for one of my regular walks past the front lines of #convoytoottawa2020 at end of aft today with friend . Seemed like fewer trucks and people than last week ... what will the weekend bring? 1/

Kent St while still full of trucks was much more subdued. This sad example of horn blowing was, for me, somewhat encouraging. Almost like when (pick the NHL team you love to hate ) are trying to rally the fans in face of an 0-9 shellacking. 8/

I'm hopeful the next few days will be decisive. If police finally get their collective shit together and really start to crack down by towing and issuing the massive fines now possible they could control our streets over weekend. Then we can start to reclaim our city. 9/

But then I see this from @AltaVista_Ott showing plans for hard core Coventry criminals and those at old CBC/CSE building to come DT on Sunday morning (right thru my neighbourhood). I have zero confidence my city, province or country will protect residents. 10/

Those with minimal sense of Ottawa's geography can see opportunities with this route. Action would require levels of intelligence, planning and guts that we've only seen demonstrated by insurrectionists to date. Didn't want to end on sour note but here we are on day 15. 11/x
