Just now learning about the passing of Signe Waller Foxworth, a survivor of the Greensboro Massacre. Her son, Alex, said I could share the news on Twitter. She will be missed by many. #restinpower /1
Jim Waller, Signe's husband, was one of five people killed by the Klan and Nazis in 1979. Signe to continued to struggle for tikkun olam, racial justice and climate justice, alongside her new husband Bob Foxworth in Greensboro. /2
I am told that Signe was surrounded by Alex, Bob and other family members, along with friends Nelson & Joyce Johnson when she passed away around 4 p.m. on Dec. 3. /3

Catching up on the news from two days ago that Frank Scavo, a Jan. 6 defendant from NE Pennsylvania, has cut a plea deal w/ the govt.

As part of his plea, Scavo agrees to cooperate w/ law enforcement. /1 ImageImageImage
Noting for posterity that Frank Scavo spoke at a 12/29 rally at Tommy Gun Warehouse w/ Rod of Iron Ministries leader Sean Moon & Vets for Trump officer Teddy Daniels. Steve Bannon was also a featured speaker. /2 rawstory.com/rod-of-iron-mi…
Frank Scavo's associations w/ Sean Moon & Teddy Daniels didn't end after 1/6.

#January6th update: In a filing opposing defendant Edward Lang's motion for release, the govt alleges that Lang repeatedly kicked an officer identified as "Sgt. JM" as he was stuck against the door inside the Lower West Terrace tunnel. ImageImage
Here's a still from a video that, according to the govt, shows Edward Lang kicking Sgt. JM. "Around 2:57 p.m., Lang and another rioter violently pushed a door against an officer's head and Lang simultaneously kicked at that officer." #January6th Image
Lang fought with police, by his own admission, for 3 hrs at the tunnel — the site of "one of the more intense and prolonged clashes between protesters and law enforcement."

Following the assault on Officer Michael Fanone, rioters began a 2nd wave of violence around 3:50 p.m. Image

THREAD: The feds have taken note of Capitol rioter Jeffrey Grace's involvement in clashes w/ antifascists in Portland, OR this past weekend, & are requesting that his conditions of release be modified to prohibit "possession of firearms, weapons or destructive devices." /1
The government's motion notes that during his initial interview w/ the FBI, Grace "denied membership with other organizations, including the Proud Boys," & then goes on to say "the investigation also revealed that Grace was an active member of the Proud Boys." /2
That's not the only deception on Grace's part that's noted by the government. The motion also notes that "contrary to Grace's assertions, Grace's adult son Jeremy Grace accompanied him inside the Rotunda." /3
