Here's why we want to push it far and wide...

2/ Democracy will be challenged in Ukraine on the battlefield. Here, so far at least, it's being challenged in elections and state legislatures.

The steady erosion of democratic norms across the world and at home aren't disparate events. They're part of a plan and a pattern.

3/ Sometimes, you have to point to the way it can and should be to block out the static and noise and agitprop.

American Presidents from Truman to Ike to JFK to Nixon to Reagan to George HW Bush shared a commitment opposing Soviet oppression.

Full stop.

4/ Their approaches varied, but they were right to stand up against the Soviets. The world was measurably more free -- not more perfect, but more free -- with Soviet communism swept into the dustbin of history.

Yes, dorm-room Marxists, you were wrong then and wrong now.

5/ The reality of Soviet and communist power wasn't some airy workers' movement. It was about power, control, and the wealth of the kleptocracy.

All the outward ideology that made Western elites squee was window dressing.

Putin's DNA is the operational evil of that era.

6/ Putin's fanclub in the U.S. is a slurry of right-wing dictator fellators and fanboys, Dugin fanboys like Bannon, trolls, and America Last nat-pop clowns.

They're backed by Fox, led by Comrade Tucker, as a cheering section for an invasion of Ukraine.

7/ It's not just that they favor Putin...it's that the people here in the states want America weaker on the world stage. Diminished. Hidden behind imaginary border walls and immigration bans.

They're actively cheering for the enemy.

8/ And Putin is an enemy to freedom, democracy, and peace. The Trump GOP now has a fashionable contempt for Ronald Reagan and the role he played at the end of the Cold War...

And they'll blame Biden no matter how this goes.

9/ The thing that's making them lose their minds is that Biden's approach to Putin's aggression has been...Reaganesque.

He's held the line. He's revealed Putin's plans, deeply vexing the Russian strongman.

He's worked with the NATO alliance. He's told Putin this invasion...

10/ What Putin's American allies forget tis that Americans actually give a damn about whether democracy survives in the world..

Biden is leading the pro-democratic side of this moment.

We're reminding Americans he's in the best tradition of leadership.

11/ Biden will be opposed by a massive, relentless social media bot machine and the Fox/Facebook anti-American ecosystem.

They'll cheer for Putin, blame Biden, and demean and diminish our alliances and our friends abroad.

12/ Rallying Americans to -- wait for it -- American leadership isn't something any of us thought we'd need to do...but clearly is will be necessary.
