Ok. So I’m trying to watch CPAC and HOC debate about the EA.

In between aneurysms I’m foaming at the mouth at the level of gaslighting going on.

I so want parliament to change the rules of discourse. Extreme gaslighting should NOT receive Parliamentary privilege.

So what’s driving me mental? The attempt by CPC and Bloc to legitimize the people who performed an occupation of Ottawa and the blockades of border trade routes as legitimate protesters.

I’ve had it with gaslighting and people who try to create alternate realities.

I’m insulted by the unscrupulous mendacity that CPC and Bloc MPs are offering up as commentary. This level of deceit is beyond acceptable, focussed on altering reality for the Canadian public and on legitimization of a fringe hostile mob seeking to effect a coup.

How fricking DARE these two federal political parties try to convince the electorate of Canada & the globe that these complaints by an ochlocratic and contemptuous delusional mob are valid & lawful & work to amplify their demands.

It’s unconscionable and intolerable.

And frankly, it’s criminal.

What the frick has happened that Canadians trust conservatives who champion delusional beliefs of obstructionists, mobs of blissfully ignorant libertarian citizens & pseudoscientific disinformation campaigns by dishonourable & opportunist physicians?

All of whom make up a minority of the population and more importantly, the electorate.

How is it democracy for a reckless, irrational, illogical, and seriously mentally disturbed and angry mob of white supremacists, Dominionist Christians and neo Nazis occupy our capital city?

Liberals MUST take control of the narrative.

If a community of pedophiles wants to lobby the government to remove regulations keeping registered sex offenders away from public spaces for kids, like schools, playgrounds and sports arenas, would CPC champion their cause as well?

Because the premise underlying their narrative is that this group of people just wants to be respected and heard.

These are not respectable people. That can’t be stressed enough.

Respectable people don’t use their children as human shields during an occupation.

Respectable democratic people don’t write MOUs demanding the GG and Senate dissolve parliament and hand the nation’s governance over to unelected thugs who have no concept of democracy or how it works.

Respectable people don’t extort policy by holding a city at siege.

Respectable people don’t torture urban residents by making noise so no one can sleep.

Respectable people don’t light fires in apartment buildings and then tape the doors shut.

Respectable people don’t deficate, urinate & spit on public streets bc they don’t have a permit.

Respectable people don’t berate and intimidate others because they have different beliefs.

Respectable people don’t attempt a coup because they didn’t like the result of the most recent election.

Respectable and legitimate political parties don’t gaslight the nation to provide credence to contemptible and delusional seditionists.

Respectable journalists don’t profile seditionists or their demands on a public platform reserved for legitimate and respectable people.

There are no two sides worth mentioning for a brain addled bunch of conspiracy theorists and authoritarian seditionists. There is no nuance I care to understand.

I also don’t want to know what motivates a pedophile. I’m perfectly happy leaving that to forensic psychiatrists.

What I would like to know is why people are intimidated by a political party and a political movement of disreputable bumbling buffoons who demand those of us with a grasp on reality legitimize their conspiratorial constructed alternate reality.

Call the bullshit out. There is no rational or logical reason to entertain complete whackadoodle BS as valid political commentary and opinion.

There’s no need to be rude initially.

But people who are neither in touch with reality nor understand the differences between actual science and sciency sounding crap don’t get to shape policy.

If you can’t discern your ass from a hole in the ground, you don’t deserve to be heard. You deserve to be ignored.

I’m all for public participation in political discourse. But rule number one; we have to share a common reality.

Conservatives are attempting to create an alternate reality based on lies, disinformation, delusion and ignorance.

I’m sorry, but that isn’t a group of people who should be anywhere near the halls of power. And yes, that means these brain addled MPs who peddle alternate realities should be removed.

Canadians aren’t expected to accept a dementia patient in late stage Alzheimer’s to be an MP.

So why are Canadians settling for the equivalent in MPs who are delusional conspiracy theorists and religious zealots who don’t believe in science but are full of opinions and crackpot ideologies the want to impose using an authoritarian governance model?

Because we legitimized libertarianism as a valid and acceptable political ideology.

Libertarianism is one step away from the loony bin. Self centred egotistical hedonistic nihilists whose only ambition is to climb to the top of the heap of shit they bring to the table.

That’s insanity. Should we let Moonies run the nation? Elect people with untreated schizophrenia to make policy decisions (between hallucinations and when the voices in their brain are silent, of course)?

No. Because they don’t share the same reality.

We don’t entertain the deluded by giving them airtime. Their opinions are invalid. Their demands are illegitimate. Clifford Olsen doesn’t deserve to be heard. He was a murderer and mentally unfit for political office.

If that comparison seems harsh or hyperbolic, you’re not paying attention.

Thousands of people converged on Ottawa and set up a hostile blockade. They planned to overthrow the elected MPs because they don’t like the Covid mandates or the fact their reality isn’t everyone else’s.

They used their children as expendable human shields to block any attempt to remove them. They used large vehicles as weapons to torture and obstruct daily living and to disrupt parliament; governance of Canada.

They flouted the rule of law, using intimidation and crudeness.

They disrespected every other Canadian’s vote by attempting to invalidate the most recent election & they receive support from a like minded party who believes this band of miscreants should be in charge.

Respect is earned. I haven’t found anyone to respect in that convoy.
