Figma Community has a wealth of design resources that are shared freely by the community. You can find UI templates, illustrations, mockup files, and more! I've used it a few times, especially for the iPhone and laptop mockups.
Create mockups of your product or UI with ls graphics. Files can be used in Figma, Illustrator, or Photoshop! The free mockups they have are brilliant.
If you're looking to create beautiful animations of your product for your website or marketing, check out Previewed App. You can access the 3d editor for a one-time fee of $7 only!
If you want to be sure that your designs work well, this is a great resource. It provides checklists for the best design practices. It's free and incredibly useful!
If it's your very first time opening Bubble, you should start here. What better way to learn about how a platform works than from the folks who built it
This channel helped me solve a lot of issues in Bubble, and I suspect it helped a ton of other builders given how popular it is. They have a mix of short and long-form content for a variety of features
A lot of folks have made a new year's resolution to get started on #nocode and learning @bubble
To help you hit the ground running, here's a crash course of the different layout types in the new responsive engine (with examples at the end!) A thread 🧵
Last year, Bubble introduced 4 new layout options: Rows, Columns, Align to Parent and Fixed.
These are part of what's known as flexbox - a layout method that gives you a lot of flexibility in structuring web pages and organizing elements.
These options make designing in Bubble much simpler, but they may be hard to grasp at first.
It's first important to understand that these options define how content *inside* a container is organized.
I started reading 'The psychology of Money' last night.
I loved it for its practicality, its brevity, and the examples shared of the good and bad ways people have treated money.
Finished it all in one sitting.
Some takeaways:
'One of the most powerful ways to increase your savings isn't to raise your income. It's to raise your humility'
Basically, avoid airs and graces, or inclinations to flaunt money.
'The world is filled with people who look modest but are actually wealthy'
'When people say they want to be a millionaire, what they might actually mean is "I'd like to spend a million dollars." And that is literally the opposite of being a millionaire.'
Wealth is more about what you don't spend than what you do.
Here's the thread on how I made my custom icons work in Bubble.
I will note, this process would be easier to do with a plugin, but since I don't know how to build plugins in Bubble (yet) I've figured out a way to do it without a plugin.
