Ten days ago, last week Monday, the Ukrainian president joked that his country will be invaded last week Wednesday.

Today, a week later @Ukraine has been invaded.

No one is laughing now.

Russian soldiers are invading another country for the same reason police officers in Canada used brutal force against protesters: Every country has zombies willing to do whatever they are propagandized to do.

I still haven’t figured out how Putin attacking Georgia under Bush; Crimea under Obama and Ukraine under Biden, proves something wrong about Trump. But here we are: BLM (Big Lib Media) guys and Never Trumpers kept hammering Trump all week regarding Putin’s latest moves.

Many people are cheering steps that will harm Russians overall; those not involved in anything Putin.

Many of those same people opposed the “Muslim Ban” and also oppose slowing down immigration from chaotic central/south American countries.

Cute how “values” change.

“Freedom cannot be denied” except if you are not C19 vaccinated and except if you rally against freedom-crushing steps by @JustinTrudeau. Then your bank account can be frozen and your personal info doxxed.

You could have earned 35% on your money if you had invested in freedom/democracy this past Thursday AM.

It’s an ETF of defense-related stocks which is now an obligation to support in name of standing with freedom.

Many people who were against shutting down travel from six countries “until we can figure out what the hell is going on,” favor sanctions on random Russians (App pays down; web hosting; immigration visas; college students and more).

CNN walks back a 24 hour global story that never happened without explicitly walking it back: The "DISTRICT housing the #BabiYar Memorial" was bombed; not the memorial itself. So... What's the story?

And... There is also this screen grab taken 7 hours ago and it was 3 hours old then, so the facts are known for at least 10 hours yet the lie has been repeated all day.

Disgraceful to use the #BabiYar atrocities (done with the help of Ukrainians!) for a PR tactic now.

Ukraine has a resilient democracy compared to the US. Putin was able to install a puppet government in the US by placing $100,000 Facebook ads in 2016 but can't beat Ukraine despite use of weapons...

These sweeping, collective and xenophobic punishments of Russians including against teens will be used by Russia, China etc to prove again that all the talk about freedom, democracy, rights and fairness pushed by the West is a load of crap that become null and void at will.

Here is an immediate example why amplifying Ukraine's rhetoric without checking is dangerous.

Ukraine pushed out 2.5 hours ago that Putin is shelling a nuclear power plant/radiation levels rising. Went viral. A US Senator all worked up calls for a country's leader assassination.

🚨 Zelensky: "Russian tanks R shooting at the nuclear blocks."

Hours later CNBC: "A fire broke out at a training facility at Europe’s largest nuclear power plant after Russian forces attacked the location"

"tanks shooting at nuclear blocks" ends up being a training facility?

This was another hyped up story by Ukraine to continue pushing the West into frenzied action against Putin without regard if those steps are prudent and/or if they will boomerang. Ukraine is fighting for survival so I don't blame them, but Journos/officials need to check facts!

Western markets flurished on their own right and by earning in investments from around the world because rule of law protected property rights no matter the politics/policy. But this has flown out the window in Canada 2 weeks ago and against Russians the last 7 days in the US/EU.

You may not feel the damage yet, but the lawlessness of grabbing property from whomever the powerful decide deserves to be crushed, will have insane consequences on Western economics. We are behaving how we accuse Third World Countries/Regimes of behaving. cc @JoeNBC @marcorubio

Zelensky said "Russian tanks are shooting at the nuclear blocks" AFTER it was already reported that there is a fire at an administration building. Obviously, if the blocks took direct hits from tanks, there would be major fires all around or worse.

UK's @BorisJohnson called a UNSC meeting for today pretending that Zelensky's story is legit.

Again, he claimed "Russian tanks are shooting at the nuclear blocks" thrusting the West into panic.

The whole complex would be smoldering. Instead, a training building burned per CNBC.

BTW: We wait for history to call the shots because it's done after the pressure cooker, frenzied, no-time-for-facts emotionalism of an issue subsided. So... if you find yourself in the frenzied/popular side of something, you are likely on the wrong side of history.

The national average price for a gallon gas regular spiked almost eleven cents overnight after a jump of 7 cents a day before.

This is before the 20% jump in oil prices the last 8 days since the start of the invasion hits the retail market as refined gas.

A sudden spike in energy costs can lead to an economic slowdown with deadly consequences. Whether suicides in the US out of despair or famine in already-poor countries. But alas. Policy deliberation is kaput the last 8 days lest you want to be accused of being "paid by Putin."

Opposing pressure-cooker generated rapid action against Russia/Russians doss not mean not doing anything and it sure does not mean not ti#o help refugees. Crippling the global economy as a result of erratic steps however, will create more refugees and deaths.

I bought masks 2/23/20 which was 2-3 weeks before COVID-19 took off in the US. But from day one I opposed panic-spreading because panic causes more deaths due to erratic decisions.

US has 1 million COVID-related deaths yet people think the issue is we hadn't Faucied enough.

In Jan-Feb of this year, the US had more than 125,000 COVID-related deaths; making it of the deadliest 2 months of the pandemic, yet you wouldn't know it from media coverage and from Dem Governors lifting of restrictions. This shows again that narratives don't equal facts.

And because this is so (narrative/media buzz and facts often being two seperate things), you should always try to get the FACTS no matter what the narrative/buzz is, and you should not just nod along with policies that are generated as a result of narrative.

We will know how strong the western sanctions take a bite out of Putin: He can, for example, shut down the power plant two weeks for "renovations" due to his "shelling" of it. He can stop oil/gas exports for a week to "review" his currency. There are cyber options too.
