Is anyone else finding it basically impossible to focus on anything else?
A dictator with nukes just launched a war of conquest in Europe. It really does not feel like anything else matters in comparison. Over 40 Million civilians are now in a warzone and Poland is right nextdoor.
Don't forget this: Putin and the Russian government is not the Russian people. Do not assume Russian people support this when they have no say at all.
Don't let your hatred of the actions of one dictator and a government become Russophobia

Too bad Russian soldiers aren’t on twitter so we can’t spread disinformation amoungst them. If they did, we could get things like #GhostOfKyiv trending to keep some fighter pilots on their toes and show the impact Javelin’s are having even more.
We also would need to tweet in Russian obv from alias accounts and google translate isn’t perfect so it would be easy to spot.
It’s probably impossible but it would be neat if we could create thousands of bot accounts on Russian social media posing as Russian military in Ukraine saying like “this is a stupid war, these are our brothers and sisters what are we doing fighting them?” “I’m going home” etc
I’m seeing a ton of lies being spread about Judge Jackson and lots of bs partisan talking points
Here’s the truth, Judge Jackson one of our nation’s brightest legal minds and is a quality canidate for our highest court
Here’s why ⬇️
Judge Jackson is a top jurist with strong experience on the federal bench, currently serving on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. She also has more experience than justices Thomas, Roberts, Kagan and Barrett- had Combined when they were nominated
Judge Jackson has broad experience across the legal profession – a former clerk for Justice Breyer, whom she is nominated to replace, as a fed appellate judge, a fed dist court judge, a member of the U.S. Sentencing Commission, a private attorney, and as a federal public defender
There have been unconfirmed reports of a one Ukrainian MiG-29 pilot called the #GhostOfKyiv taking out Two SU-35s, One SU-27, One MIG-29 and Two SU-25s
If true, it sounds like Ukraine might have a real life Maverick (who also shot down MiGs in the movie)
I hope this pilot exists she or he would be fucking legendary and could be a big morale booster. A former comedian president, out gunned and outmanned defeating the Russian military would be incredible.
David doesn’t always defeat Goliath but sometimes he does.
Some of those Soviet MiGs are absurdly fast especially for being so old. Like the Foxbat (MiG 25 being nearly capable of Mach 3 capable for a short time but still fucking nuts for 80s tech)
THREAD: Some seriously fucked up stuff is going on in Florida with the “Don’t say gay” & “Stop WOKE” bills
Here’s what people need to know and how you can help ⬇️
If @GovRonDeSantis has his way, anything that affirms the existence of LGBTQ students or families will be banned from the classroom. You read that right. DeSantis and his allies in the Legislature are trying to fully silence, stigmatize, and erase LGBTQ people.
The “Don’t Say Gay” and “Stop Woke” bills encourage $10,000 lawsuits against schools and employers if they speak honestly about racism, or acknowledge LGBTQ people. They are attempting to erase our history. More info here: FreeToSayGay.org
Project management is a severely undervalued skill.
lessons:
Think big- but start small and do it right- then scale.
Make it extremely clear who’s in charge of what.
Make a timeline with clear deadlines and goal posts
Have a specific and measurable goal
Know your strengths and find others who can fill in for your weak spots
Know not all your projects are going to work out and that’s ok, if you want to do big stuff is going to require doing a lot more and you’ll fail a lot more. But keep going, just try to fail in private and succeed in public.
Who needs to go to war with the US when you can infiltrate organizations like the NRA to change who’s in power and you can can convince your enemies citizens to take up arms against their government?
As Sun Tzu said: The greatest victory is that which requires to battle.
I am no expert, but from what I have studied from history and learned about foreign policy the greatest weakness of the west seems to be asymmetrical warfare. We can meet overt threats but when the threat is slow moving, internal and not overt we become our own worst enemy.
I have come up with a strange metaphor for this- the west is like cornstarch and water. If you punch it, all the particles lock into place and it’s impenetrable acting like a solid. But if you are slow, you can run your hand through it, like a liquid letting anything through.
